I agree. I'm fine with Shanny being a filthy rich winner. And, if he doesn't win, for me the problem will be with losing, not with the size of his contract.

you do realize its the fans' money that he's spending on coaches right...not to get into a long discussion but so long as the fans keep choking up outrageous prices for tickets, parking, concessions etc., Shanny will get 2.5 more a year than any coach in the history of the league...

That bugs me when small market teams like the saints and the colts do so well when we use the same formula we have been (grossly overpaying) and continue to suck dick

In actuality they break it down a little and tell us it's some 8 mill over 5 yrs. Obviously 8x5= 40 so I would presume there is either one big signing bonus or he gets a bonus each year say 2 mill?

Funny maybe I'm the only one who thinks Colt might develope into the perfect QB so long as they stop trying to change his throwing motion. Just remember what happened to Favre. Like I said, it's not my money. Did anyone think Snyder wouldn't pay a ton to get him here? You get what the market will bear, and if we don't start playing some decent football Snyder probably won't continue to get what he's charging now.

Damn $50 million 5 years hell to be brutality honest it might take 5 years for us to start being contenders.

It's amazing what Snyder has done to the league. I mean not even 10 years ago Spurrier was given a 5 year $25 million contract and now that contract has doubled for Shannahan in terms of money. I mean I kind of understand given how much money guys like Holmgen and Parcells are getting but pretty soon the Haynesworth contract will be easily matched. Who knows, in our lifetime we could see a kicker getting the Haynesworth contract, but that could be blamed on inflation.
