Ryan leaf never had a stellar season in the NFL. Roy's best season he had 82 receptions with over 1300 yards and made the Pro-bowl. Ryan leaf never attained over a 60 QB rating.

I'm just pointing out that being drafted in the first round doesn't make you a huge talent. And yes, I do...hate the Cowboys.

I wish it was a Carb Franc...Sauvignon...not bad, not a huge wine fan, but their Barbera Reserve is outstanding along with their Octagon, both reds...http://www.barboursvillewine.net...never been there, heard its great place...

I'd love to tour their winery. If you like Cab Franc, you should try Topiary (http://www.thetastingroomwinebar.com/03.html)from Boxwood Winery in VA (owned by John Kent Cooke, Jack's son). Rachel Martin (John's stepdaughter) is a friend of mine and is basically the CEO of the winery. They really put out some good wine.

Well at least they won't come here with a loss and desperate to win...and we will take care of them.

Yes it does. No one wastes a first round pick on anyone who's not a huge talent. We'll agree to disagree.

I respectfully disagree. Sure he's had some inconsistencies but he doesn't get enough reps. Jerry Jones didn't give up a 1st round pick for him because he's a bum. And yes he's a huge talent, you don't start for Texas or go in the first round if your not a huge talent. Don't let your hatred for Dallas derail your objectivity.

That's fine. I maintain, however, Williams is a bum. Without looking, I think Williams and Devin Thomas are having comparable seasons. I haven't checked in a while, but I will when I'm done typing this.

As far as him having talent and playing for Texas, a big SO WHAT. What does that have to do with anything? The list is very long of those who were great in college and busts in the NFL. Did it ever occur to you that Roy Williams doesn't get looks because he's not open? Roy Williams runs one or two good routes (slants and posts), take those away and he's a very, very ordinary NFL reciever.

Roy E Williams Stats:
Years Tm GP REC YDS YPC Lng TD FD FUM FUM LOST
2004 DET 14 54 817 15.1 46 8 34 1 1
2005 DET 13 45 687 15.3 51 8 31 0 0
2006 DET 16 82 1310 16.0 60 7 66 2 2
2007 DET 12 64 838 13.1 91 5 34 2 1
2008 DAL 10 19 198 10.4 38 1 12 0 0
2008 DET 5 17 232 13.6 25 1 14 0 0

If you are gonna throw out stats might as well show them all. He's not a superstar, and Austin is the hot receiver right now, so enjoy the man crush, just don't expect any knowledgeable fans here to buy into it.

And I maintain that bums don't make probowls. Roy Williams did. End of story.
