Jairus Byrd was just put on IR...which certainly helps Orakpo's hopes

monday night certainly didn't help him much

hopefully he gets the 4 sacks he need for kearse's record all against dallas that would make this year worth while

yea he needs to be at DE full time. that shit pisses me off that Blache/Managment is so F%%^*$ STUBBORN AND DON'T see the best thing they haVE RIGHT UNDER THEY DAMN NOSES.

The coaching staff's job is "to put the best 11 players on the field." Arguably, putting our best 11 players on the field entails playing Orakpo at SLB notwithstanding the fact that he's more effective as a RDE than a SLB.

Orakpo definately should get consideration for DROY but the pro-bowl may be a stretch because of flex positions. Would he be a pro-bowler at LB/or DE? Carter is enjoying a fine year but is not a pro-bowl caliber player. Fletcher is long overdue and should be invited. Haynesworth I'm skeptical about because of his rather up and down season. He's only played approx 60% of the defensive snaps and has missed a lot of time. At times he's played up to the status, but has it been enough?
Are you counting the games that he didn't play in?
