That quote confused me. It didn't really sound clear that Spurrier told the skins that BEFORE they hired him. Why on earth would Spurrier tell them that during a job interview. Makes no sense. Seems more like something Spurrier would have said during the exit interview.
It wasn't during a job interview that he said that. The Redskins (and many other teams went after him) and he said no, I'm not ready. A year and a few million dollars later, he sang a different tune

Holtz did coach the Jets. As I recall, he lasted less than one year. The results were not pretty.
Legend has it that he wrote a "fight song" for the Jets and tried to get the team to sing it. The players didn't like that a whole lot...

Yes, Lou Holtz and Ceratto have ND ties. I read one of Lou's books that stated he wanted to coach the Skins.

i love lou holtz he is the best thing that ever happened to espn's sollege football coverage.
the last thing i would ever want is him here, he LOVES vinny and would probably give him more power
