duetsch215 12-02-2009, 04:42 PM So with another disappointing about to end and looking back at the past ten years under Mr. Snyder and all of the disappointments throughout his tenure, and despite the few good seasons, when do you see the Redskins returning to prominence?
InsaneBoost 12-02-2009, 04:46 PM To be honest, after this season, I really think he's going to get his head out of his ass and actual get rid of Cerrato, find a GM and actually get a coach. I think not hiring Greg Williams has taught him a lesson, or hopefully it has.
I said we would start winning in about 5 years, this would have been in 2007 and I think I'll stand by that. Not saying we're going to be Super Bowl contenders, but I feel that we'll have the right tools and should have a QB and an offensive line by then that know the game well.
SmootSmack 12-02-2009, 04:51 PM Prominence as in winning a Super Bowl?
rbanerjee23 12-02-2009, 04:53 PM prols 3 years if cerrato leaves after this season
Magic 8 ball says reply hazy, try again

Next year, but only if the OL is addressed, Campbell is brought back, Vinny is whacked and a new GM/coach are hired. These team has a lot of promising young players and a sound defense. Hell, even if Zorn is retained and the OL is fixed I believe we could win.

Here is John Riggins discussing the future with our ever favorite Sally Jenkins.
Personally, I think heads have to roll. Snyder has a opportunity to make things right that have been wrong for ten years. In a non-capped season, this is a chance to get rid of dead weight contracts like Portis, Randle El, Randy Thomas, and others.
Hire a professional GM. Let the GM hire the HC. Let the HC hire his coaches.
Trade down in the draft. Pick up additional draft picks, go Offensive Line heavy.
CRedskinsRule 12-02-2009, 05:01 PM Maybe a good discussion, but who can answer with any reality, you will either get a huge dose of "With Snyder we are always failures" or "let's see what happens this off-season". I fall into the latter
mlmdub130 12-02-2009, 05:06 PM i thought coming in to this season we would be 6-10 and from the looks of things we'll end up 5-10 (oakland and dallas), i think we will improve our record next year and be right around 8-8, but we have a ways to go before we get a nfc divisional championship, that said i think we have about two seasons minimum til we have a 10 win season, i really hope it's sooner though

I fall there as well. We are some of the harshest critics of Snyder, but I hold out hope that this year was humiliating enough that Snyder will pull the trigger on change.
Put it this way CR --- if this year does not bring change, what will it take?
