BTW DG28, is Mount Gilead anywhere near the coast?
Nope. It is about as far away as you can get and still be in North Carolina. I knew someone back in college that went to App State in Boone. Boone is in the middle of nowhere. You take a left at Boone and keep going and on the backside of nowhere is Mount Gilead. Probably a cool town though if you like the mountains.

Ok 28. I was just wondering if you were anywhere near Hatteras. I love it down there. I go to the beach and go camping all through that area. Great fishing too.

I do like the mountains. I went all the way down the mountains from Waynesboro down to NC and cut across the state to Ocracoke Island one time. Great trip.

I was a little skiddish up around that area for awhile. A sports writer friend of mine was covering a high school football game up near Boone and asked if I would shoot it. Well, on the way back it started snowing hard and we ended up in a head on wreck on a narrow mountain road. Somehow we were both okay. Wow. It has been years since I even thought about that.

Sounds like you were pretty fortunate to not get hurt too badly. Yeah I really like the mountains and it's beautiful when it snows but I won't drive up there when there's snow. Even during the summer the fog at night can get so thick you can't see to drive. Well I'm out. Looking forward to the game tomorrow. Either way...I hope it's a good one!

Wow. You are in the middle 28. If you've never been to Nagshead and that area during the summer, you ought to check it out. It's great. A friend has a couple of houses he rents down there if you ever need one. Have a good night fellas!
