In that case, what he's done up to this point this year has no relevance to the here and now. So all your talk about him and your team's accomplishments thus far is just a waste of time.
Yup. And that is the exact approach the Saints have been taking themselves this year. Last week's beat down of the Patriots no longer matters. Neither does any of their previous ten wins. The only game that counts is this week's game. The Saints will be just as prepared for the Redskins as they have been for any team all season long. It is absolutely the here and now.
And I really like the here and now Saints' chances.

you know what i noticed? now that the saints are winning alot of Saints fans are coming out of the woodwork.. never heard this many when they were the Aints. and watch when they lose tomorrow there will be some excuse like Oh we are resting our starters for the playoffs.. Alot of saints fans are only there for the good and not when the team was losing.. which btw has been an awful lot in their history...

And I really like the Redskins chances. The past doesn't matter. Looking forward to it. :food-smil

I wonder if they still have bags on their heads when they're posting? You know...out of habit?

I agree. New Saints fans are showing up all over the country. We have always been here in Louisiana, but the current success is bring in many more fans. I am sure you didn't hear much way back when there were the Aints. In fact, you probably didn't hear much about our fans until recently. But, did you know there is a 47,000 person waiting list for season tickets? I know someone who was placed on the list when he was born and it took him into his 20's before finally getting them. The Saints have always been huge in South Louisiana ... even when they were losing.

I have nothing against the Saints at all...but I guess their fans don't know how to act since they've never had much success. Personally I like Drew Brees, I think he's one of the best and he's been playing lights out...but anyone can be beat. We have a couple of members here who are big fans and attend their games.

Nope. That was 25 years ago and done as a protest against ownership at not spending enough to put us over the hump. The Saints had several year of mediocre 6-10, 7-9, 8-8 type seasons and fans were getting more and more frustrated. But, they still wanted to attend the games of the team they loved. That when a few people came up with the idea of the bags. They were able to still show up at every game, but sent s harsh message to ownership.

What do you mean where were all the fans? Every home game was a sellout.

I am originally from Louisiana, lived in New Orleans, Kenner, Avondale, Waggaman, Metairie and even Natchitoches a lil while until Katrina, you would hardly ever hear them talk as much about the saints when they were losing. ive heard alot of ppl wanting them gone and not care at all when benson was threatening to move them.
I even went to the game down there in 2001, it was 10-0 in favor of the saints and the lady in front of me turned around and said "They are selling Redskins shirts for half price now."... After the game and 40 unanswered points, I told her They are trying to Give away saints shirts now.
