What makes you think Sam Bradford would want to play for the Redskins? Not to hijack this thread, but Bradford's of Cherokee Nation. His grandmother is full-blooded Cherokee which makes me think he may have an issue wearing a Redskin uniform. And maybe not, but it's def something to consider, especially when you're trying to start a new QB bandwagon (apparently the wheels fell off Colt Brennan's).

That's a crazy thought...

Many polls have been taken on the made-up racial issue about sports teams and Native American names. The NAs overwhelmingly are either honored or do not care either way. Very few are actually "offended" by the names and logos. It's an issue that has mainly been made up by white lawyers and PC-policemen who want to make a name for themselves by forcing their opinions on others through litigation.

If Bradford was so easy to be offended, he wouldn't be playing for the Sooners...besides, those white men in wagons came riding in and forcing the Indians off their land!

Has he ever spoken out on such an issue?

Not that I know of. And in fact Dan and Vinny could prove more offensive than any name or logo. But he is a member of Cherokee Nation; I believe it's his great/grandparents who are full-blooded. Just something to think about...

It's not a crazy thought. We all toss around our opinions on the subject, but for the most part, it doesn't personally affect us in the sense that we're a bunch of white, black, brown, green fans attached to the name. Along comes a dude who might think otherwise because the name/logo speaks to his tribe. Or not.

I do agree, however, that the majority of NAs could care less. Count me among them.

Wasn't Mark Rypien part Native American? In fact isn't Zorn as well?

Last skins game i went to in Arizona i saw more Native Americans sporting redskin jerseys than anyone else. Don't believe the hype.

You seem to present this as if it's more than likely true.

If he has a problem maybe they could have him talk to a descendant of Lone Star Dietz if they can find one. Has anybody from the media attempted this? That would probably be one of my first attempts at an interview if I was covering one of the stories on the Redskins names.

Don't know how easy that would be considering there's been controversy about his actual heritage.

the 'non-call' was f&*^&ng pathetic, the officials and... i 4get who even (cuz i dont care) hit him should be fined, and the NFL officiating.... i dont have words for it, every week it gets worse.

Aren't you watching the games? He does complete them when he has time for the receivers to get downfield...he RARELY has time though.

HA !!! Dude your belief in that fabrication is sad. WHEN has he killed someone deep when he has time ? And he has had time. The guy blows. You mean to tell me you weren't as shocked as I was that he completed that fade to Kelly ? I was. Because if this guy had such an accurate deep pass we would be cooking teams because NO ONE respects his deep ball. NOT ONE SINGLE DEFENSE. The guy consistently misfires on deep throws to open receivers. How many times have you seen Moss running deep and the ball sails out of bounds ? I see it all the time. Maybe I'm watching the wrong games. But then again you'll say that he has not enough time. When in his entire career have you seen him be an accurate deep passer ? Sure he can throw it far but he doesn't hit the guy.. He eith overthrows a guy or underthrows him. In the NFL you have to be abe to make the throws that he cannot or just doesn't.
