GMScud 11-28-2009, 12:14 AM I feel like there are lots of stories like this out here, but they dont get the attention from media/fans that negative press typically does. Most of the guys in the NFL are great guys that give back a lot, too bad their names are typically ruined by the few knuckleheads out there. That's a great point. Drama and craziness sells. A headline story about Woodson giving money to a hospital isn't going to garner the attention that something controversial will. The media sensationalizes the stories that will result in the most "hits" if you will. budw38 11-28-2009, 07:20 AM I feel like there are lots of stories like this out here, but they dont get the attention from media/fans that negative press typically does. Great point , an athlete gives to charity and gets no attention from the press , yet if he goes to dinner , has a drink or to = he's an alcoholic . Too many drama queens in the media/press , too lazy to find a great news story . firstdown 11-30-2009, 03:06 PM In 2005 the PGA hit the 1 billion donation mark which all got started in 1938.
