It would be interesting to give Bartel some playing time to see what he can do. If they draft a QB this spring they will need someone on the roster to compete with the rookie.

Or maybe he's good and our management is too stupid to see it. Let's hope that he doesn't sign somewhere else and light it up.

Somehow I doubt it. He was horrible in preseason games with the Giants. Just downright bad. Perhaps he just needs more seasoning and coaching, but right now he is what he is, a practice squad guy that is probably going to bounce around for a while.

Did you see him in college? At Kentucky this guy looked like he had it all; size, athleticism, decent accuracy. He seemed to have so much upside. Maybe he never committed himself & was lazy, or he's mentally slow.

This is an interesting piece on Woodson from when he was in Kentucky and how he didn't seem to take advantage of his abilities

Bartel supposedly has a strong arm and got pretty good review this summer in Cleveland. I don't know anything about him

Well wouldn't you have to say that there is also 31 other teams who also don't see his talent. I know not all are looking to add QB's but teams are always scouting players and none seem to be going after him.

Gamecocks got to him and ruined him for life.

What if the rookie turns out to be a bust, which is most 1st round QBs? Or what if the rookie needs time to grow? By the time he starts to learn we will need a new everything. Took Manning 7 years to blossom to win a playoff game.

I really like this move by Vinny this is what we need right now.
Bartel will be brought in and asked... "How good is Brady Quinn really?"
He'll say, "Omg he's so underrated he taught me everything I know. I don't understand the criticism."
Vinny replies, "Thank you Bartel for you information btw you're cut."
We then offer Jason Campbell to the Browns for Brady, they don't accept, and we give up 2nd and a third for the turd named Quinn.

Well it doesn't matter really...because it's our defense that's losing us games

the defense that held the Cowgirls to 7 ... very late points? .. u cant seriously be blaming them for one touchdown late in the fourth when our offense couldnt get the ball in the end zone.

That ESPN article makes it sound like Bartel will play this season...a ridiculous thought.
