Tough blow: Redskins RB Ladell Betts has a torn ACL and MCL and will need surgery.
So this pretty much ends Betts career as a Redskin. I can't see a new coaching staff bringing back a 31 yr old backup RB trying to recover from what will be a major reconstruction.

Wow, that is a very tough blow.

That really sucks for him. Never complained, quiet, came in a did his job. He will be missed, but this is just more of an arguement that we need a major overhaul on the offense overall. This year with injuries is amazing...wow

Add RB to our list of high draft priorities now. I still say O-line is the top need, and that decent RBs can be found in the middle rounds. Too bad for Betts, he finally gets his chance to shine and it lasts all of 2 games.

Let's see our current needs for our top picks (in no particular order):
QB
RB
WR
OL, OL and more OL
At least we are set at TE.
As for Betts, tough tough blow. I think Paintrain's right that we've seen his last game as a Skin which is a shame as he was a hard working guy with a modicum of talent.

I don't know if that neccessarily ends his time here, but unless you're a marquee running back, it might not be in the best interest of the organization. Geez...this isn't good.

Man I wish we signed Johnson.
It's a tad premature to say his career here is done. Yes he's on the wrong side of 30 but he doesn't have much wear and tear for a guy his age.

The 2010 Redskins are going to be an interesting team with a lot of new faces. I have NEVER in my history of watching football (20+ years) ever seen a team riddled with so many injuries. It blows my mind.
