Beemnseven 11-23-2009, 01:01 PM The 2010 Redskins are going to be an interesting team with a lot of new faces. I have NEVER in my history of watching football (20+ years) ever seen a team riddled with so many injuries. It blows my mind.
Man you're not kidding. This is getting unbelievable. Fine, it's not our year, and I guess if you're going to get socked with these injuries it might as well be a season when it looked like it was doomed from the start.
But for god's sake, the law of averages had better be in our favor for the next few seasons, because we've paid our dues with big time injuries.
CRedskinsRule 11-23-2009, 01:02 PM TTE, your post made me hope one other thing with Cutler and Sanchez doing so badly, hopefully it gives whoever comes in more ammo to say, Just let me do it, remember Cutler
Longtimefan 11-23-2009, 01:17 PM I suspect they'll bring Mason back for sure now
Will be interesting to see if they decide to bring him back, or if he really want's to come back. He didn't seem too pleased the last time he was released, he sounded as if the in & out was getting to him.

If he's unemployed he'll be back....
Speaking of unemployed, is Edge still a free agent? Would anyone bring him here for the vet min?

Good point!

You're probably right, being unemployed has a way of doing that to you.
SBXVII 11-23-2009, 01:40 PM Let's see our current needs for our top picks (in no particular order):
QB
RB
WR
OL, OL and more OL
At least we are set at TE.
As for Betts, tough tough blow. I think Paintrain's right that we've seen his last game as a Skin which is a shame as he was a hard working guy with a modicum of talent.
I asked this in the other thread about Cerrato, but any chance all these injuries are closely related to Buges blocking scheme?
QB: we will lose JC. Collins needs to be cut. We have 2 young QB's now definitly need a third.
RB: All in their 30's or close to it. Time for some young blood. Ganther?
OL: A definit. young healthy talent. Maybe a new scheme also.
WR: I have not given up on our young WR's yet. Bring in a true WR coach and see what he can do with them. If no improvement, can them.
SmootSmack 11-23-2009, 01:44 PM All Mason has to do is sign on the dotted line and he's a Redskin again.
Nomad 11-23-2009, 01:44 PM Betts is a class act IMO .... maybe he comes back strong !
Being a class act, doesn't mean you comeback strong, at 31, he should think about the rest of his life and retire, he be lucky if he can walk straight again, or can go the rest of his life, without major knee pain's....... this is sad, but just makes it easier to clean house next year.
