He's had a history of little nagging injuries, but this obviously sounds pretty serious. While I would ideally love to see him back next year, it might be best for all if he just retires. It will really be a test of his will to come back strong enough to regain his form. I can't see him coming back at near the same level. Monkeydad 11-23-2009, 10:44 AM Horrible luck. If Rock doesn't fumble, I'm confident in him being our starter until Portis can come back, but he's already ruled out for Week 12. Ganther hasn't impressed me. If we lose Rock also, we should use ARE and DT in the backfield and go Wildcat on any plays we're not throwing in a 4WR set. What else COULD we do? Run with Sellers 15 times? At least Marko should definitely be on the active roster with only 2 active RBs. Monkeydad 11-23-2009, 10:48 AM The 2010 Redskins are going to be an interesting team with a lot of new faces. I have NEVER in my history of watching football (20+ years) ever seen a team riddled with so many injuries. It blows my mind. Actually, it seems the injury bug always hits us harder than most teams. Some years it was Portis and Moss, Sean Taylor, always linemen, seems like the secondary is always banged up (now Horton, D. Hall possibly, previously it was always Doughty or Springs). I agree about the 2010 Skins...there HAS to be major changes and new faces, just to complete a healthy 53-man roster for Week 1. But with the numerous injuries yesterday, there will definitely be some shuffling today and tomorrow.
