If the doc said he can play, he should be out there. He doesn't love the game, he loves his money.
I hope his Skins career is over.

Sorry but you're wrong here, one doctor may have cleared him but that's not enough:
In his weekly radio appearance on ESPN 980, Portis said he can't return to action until he receives clearance from specialists at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, who first evaluated Portis on Nov. 20.

kind of like the docs that cleared westbrook? cause that was the right call
When it comes to head injuries, I'm not going to fault someone for being overly cautious.

ok, if thats the case, thats fine.
I don't fault anyone for listening to the DRs.
12thMan 12-02-2009, 12:04 PM Yeah, the league has a new policy that you have to visit an independent doctor outside of the NFL, and be cleared by both.

I think that's a good policy too.

Maybe he loves being alive?
InsaneBoost 12-02-2009, 04:41 PM I hope he just stays out the rest of the year because besides the concussion, he still isn't playing like Cartwright, Mason or Ganther IMO.
Don't know if it's because he's hurt or because he's just lot a step finally, but I'd like to keep him out, get him healthy and MAYBE keep him next year depending on how he looks in TC.

Just saw on ESPN that Portis still hasn't been cleared and will be visiting the Pitt Medical Center. Not sure if this his second visit or the first one you mentioned here.
But it's starting to look like Clinton Portis won't be returning this season.
