CRedskinsRule 11-21-2009, 10:43 PM If Orton had hit the open Royal in the second quarter though, the improvement in the second half wouldn't have mattered
...
And Campbell connecting with an open Moss or Yoder would have made the game more of a "blowout"
Beemnseven 11-21-2009, 10:58 PM fair enough, objectively speaking when was the last time dallas receivers had a big day against us? We shut them down both games last year (it was their running in the second game that got us). IF dallas wins, it will not be their receivers that do it, but their running game.
Edit: In the first game last year Romo threw for 3 tds, 1 Int, and 300 yards, and they lost. In the 2nd game Romo had 1 td, 2 int's, and 160 yds, and the won. We will not get beat because of their passing game, but if Garrett is smart enough to try and pound it, then we will have a closer game.
We also had Shawn Springs then, and Carlos Rogers was on a rampage last year. This year? Not so much...
Beemnseven 11-21-2009, 11:01 PM #1 There is nobody on the Cowgirls even close to Brandon Marshall.
#2 Our secondary doesn't have amnesia and I seriously doubt we'll blow converages like that 2 weeks in a row.
#3 Rogers might not start or even play.
On point #1, maybe not, but Roy Williams isn't exactly chopped liver. Point #2, let's just say I hope you're right. But you cannot deny that our secondary has been much more of a serious flaw than many of us ever envisioned. On point #3, with Rogers not playing, considering who'll be filling in for him, I'm not sure if that's a good thing.

DCtoAZ 11-22-2009, 01:50 AM Another wild game in this storied rivalry ... :boxing:
Orakpo emerges as Redskins Team Leader today ~ 2 Sacks, 1FF, 10 tackles
JC opens the damn thing up and hits Devin Thomas for a 50 YD bomb
Betts is solid .. Sellers gets the TD close to the goal
Skins break 30pts ... :woot:
THE Washington Redskins - 35
Dallass - 28
4-6 ... time to take on Philly !
Hail to hoping I'm right !
GTripp0012 11-22-2009, 01:51 AM I predict that Hunter Smith hits the scoreboard. That would compete the perfect season for the punter.

No, no -- I responded to someone who said that Rogers won't start and might not even play. Even though he's been "benched", I would still expect him to see some time on the field today. My argument was that even if he doesn't play, his replacement would likely be no better. So in the end, our situation won't change. It's going to be a big challenge for our secondary against their receivers.

Oh, yeah, I definitely agree.

Last time I checked our D is ranked #1 against the pass.
