freddyg12 11-19-2009, 03:09 PM I just don't see Marty coming back here. He and Danny may have kissed and made up but is Marty dumb enough to come back and work with him again, knowing what he knows from the first time around? Personally I really doubt it.
Just remember Marty was smart enough to get a deal that gave him control & paid him to be fired. He probably planned his retirement w/no worries after that.
I know what you're saying though, he's a proud man that doesn't seem like he would want to be in that situation again. But at the same time, it's years later & the first time he worked for snyder he got what he wanted, yet the danny pulled the plug. That might be added leverage for Marty this time around, if DS actually wanted him. I agree it's not likely, but I don't think it's too crazy. Especially if we continue to sink.
BigHairedAristocrat 11-19-2009, 03:15 PM Cleveland has great fans and they still lost the Browns, albeit temporarily. That said the Bills are not as likely as say the Jags to move. As for Billick and Bradford it's moreso something that I think could happen. I'm not advocating it, but it won't neccesarily upset me either. Wouldn't be my first choice though
what would be your first choice (keeping it realistic, of course)?
BigHairedAristocrat 11-19-2009, 03:19 PM This from the NFL.com:
Total control and no meddling. Hmmm. Plus a T.O. WR.
T.O. isnt under contract next year, so i doubt he'll factor into the equation at all. However, i am curious what was meant in the article by the "low-maintenance" situation in buffalo vs. washington. I can only think of it meaning a meddlesome owner. However, if Snyder and Wilson are both willing to back off and give Shanahan total control, I don't see what the difference would be.

Well my absolute first choice would be that we simply see success with Zorn and Campbell. That'd be the best scenario. You'd avoid having to adjust to a new head coach and you wouldn't have to use a pick or make a trade for a QB. So that would be the best scenario.
If Zorn and Campbell were gone, and I'd assume Cerrato as well, then I'd like to bring in someone like Floyd Reese to oversee everything, Jimmy Raye III as the GM, and then someone like Shanahan (Kyle, not Mike) as the head coach (or heck maybe even Gary Kubiak) to be our next head coach for years to come.
But I understand the need for a big name

Yeah but it's not so simple. We're talking about big business here. We're talking about battling with other major sports teams in the DC market for sponsorship dollars and corporate suite money. I mean it's just one of those things that's inevitably considered.
Still...Kyle Shanahan!!! or if you really wanna go crazy then Turner Gill
