nah, I don't have it on tape. It was just a scrimmage really between our two schools. But I did get to hear about it all week in practice.

I am currently praying that Chris kelley (maryland's strong safety) picks it up and makes it to the nfl next year. i sacked him once in highschool. i also got trucked by darnell dockett about 15 times.

Agreed. This guy hasn't given up alot and is a GREAT tackler. Not much gets by him. He is having a pro bowl year so far.

Springs has been very solid for us so far.

They gave Springs the big money for a reason. I think Griffin and Springs have really earned their dollars so far.

Springs has been solid. But, I'm really impressed with Griffins run stopping ability. He gets in the backfield quick. And if I'm not mistaken he had 2 sacks yesterday. Springs and Smoot had some good hits too.

Champ who?

You cant really look at individual stats- you have to look at how the defense is performing overall- specifically against the pass.

Neither team is hurting in that department. Denver is #1 and we are #2 in overall defense. Denver is #2 and we are #4 in passing defense.

The corner play has been great, in my opinion, especially the open-field tackling. Those blitzes leave those guys hanging out in the wind a lot. As of yet, we certainly don't miss champ, and Portis was great yesterday. BUt we haven't played a QB who can really burn the blitz yet. Favre, McNabb, and Culpepper can all do that, and they're coming up. Still, Kudos so far, and Smoot again showed how tough he is, getting hurt and staying in to make some crucial tackles. SMOOOOOT!
