Draw your own conclusions:
comp/att yds td/int
Brunell 8/22 95 1/1
Harrington 12/23 101 1/1
Palmer 20/36 148 1/1
Roethlisberger 21/25 193 2/0
Carr 16/26 266 1/1
Rattay 18/28 286 1/1
Notice, these guys aren't McNabb, Manning, Farve, these guys are rookies or young QB's. And it's not just this week
can we have another Brunell sucks thread????

The numbers are undeniable; what is at question is how much of the blame Brunell himself deserves for those numbers.
It seems the more opportunities Brunell gets to disprove the "Brunell sucks" theorists, the more he feeds their arguments (mine included).
If and when Ramsey gets the opportunity to start, I hope the Brunell apologists will grant Ramsey as much amnesty as they have afforded Brunell. I'm certain, however, that won't be the case. Why? Because one game should be all Ramsey needs to prove he is worthy of being the starter, shouldn't it?

Well...let's just say this. Ramsey doesn't make the money that Brunell does and lacks the experience. I would not expect Ramsey to come out and win his first game or even his second. But what I would expect is at least the leadership that the offense desperately needs. I don't see Brunell as being the leader, in my opinion he is just there to collect a paycheck.

Roth looked like a 5 year vet today.
My comment is that every week the offense as a whole is held accountable vice blaming the QB and that's good. This week, the D was outstanding giving up 3 POINTS, the O line opened 171 yds worth of holes which Portis exploited and with all of this we win 13-10? At some point, however, there has to be personal accountability. I'm glad Gibbs has been sticking with one QB rather than the usual QB carousel, and he knows a lot more than I do, but when our QB scores 70% of their points it makes me wonder. I would love to have an insiders (ie player's) perspective if they feel Brunell is their leader and they are moments from clicking offensively or whether they see him as a liability on the field that can't be trusted to make tough throws in tough postions. Maybe the bye week is what they need to come out and put up 28 points a game but if we can't do it against a rookie corner and the Bears secondary then you have to wonder.
And Matty, no I don't think that Brunell sucks, I just don't think he's giving us the best chance to win lately.
