Snyder probably did hope Gibbs would right the ship, and he might have, if Casserly or Beathred were around, but to me I think Snyder also thought what a great marketing tool it would be to bring Gibbs back and get folks thinking about the glory days.

Man Philly and Eagles have been really good consistently over the last 9-10 years

I'm like that.....
Scary stuff SC.
You know what bothers me the most about all this besides the obvious losing and turmoil, etc.
In ANY serious NFL discussion of success or the things that surround it, we are not in the conversation. We have become....meaningless
Now now, that is not true. Someone has to finish last and we fill an important need in bringing up the rear. :)
Tell us something we don't already know.

Stats dont lie here. You can send your thank you card for the above to Snyder and Vinny, they run the show.

Statistically, a cursory glance would indicate that the nfc east has been above avg. for the decade - 3 super bowl appearances - but not dominant.

Aside from being an easy target for ridicule, our Redskins have become irrelevant. I don't want apologies from Snyder, I want a statement of commitment to rebuilding this team through the draft. No more trading draft picks away for other teams' garbage, no more FA bonanzas. I can be a very patient fan and I'm willing to suffer through 2 or 3 dreadful seasons IF the FO is committed to building a lasting winner through shrewd drafting and player development.
