Even if we get a great draft pick if Vinny is around I would not be surprised if he bypassed the O line again and went for another WR. They are in denial about the O Line.

They are in denial about the O Line. I hope this does not occur - we really need both the 1st and 2 round pick used on the offensive line and than go and get a free agent or two to help fill the gap. In addition in the draft after next year we need to get at least one more offensive lineman with either the 1st or 2nd round pick - the Oline has been unaddressed for too long and now we need to overcompensate for past drafts. Paintrain 11-09-2009, 02:00 PM We need to root for going 2-14 for two reasons. 1) So we get a ridiculously good draft pick, Bradford, Okung, Locker, Whoever 2) So we can show Snyder that the Front Office structure he has going on sucks and needs to be changed. I gave up on this team for THIS YEAR, as soon as we lost to detroit, people were giving me crap saying it was to early, while I sort of agree, I knew we just wouldn't be good, and now I'm glad other people are doing what I did weeks ago and just say seasons over, lets suck the rest of the year and start from scratch and continue to next year with a positive "wanting the redskins to win" attitude. Well what people gave you crap for was saying 'I want us to lose all of our games so we can get a better draft pick,' which I still think is BS. I don't expect us to win another game this season but every Sunday at 1pm, I'm going to drop into my easy chair and root for us to win. Sure, we probably need to go 2-14 and blow up a lot of things, but to root for that, never. Bill B 11-09-2009, 02:13 PM Paintrain - for me at least losing is not about getting a better draft pick this offseason - as in my opinion we are several draft classes away from a complete rebuild that generate consistently competitive teams. My thing was I really hope and pray that the front office revamping takes place because I love the Redskins so much. Even if we get the worst record in the league this year with the current front office I think they would inevitably mess up the draft. Even if Russell Okung fell into their laps with the 10th pick I can see Vinny saying we needed to go with anoter position for whatever reason. When the Skins are getting beat as they are now my blood pressure goes up like many fans across the nation - I want them to win badly but unless they take that ultimate step of revamping the entire front office can we really expect anything different? rbanerjee23 11-09-2009, 02:32 PM If you root for your team to lose then you are not a true fan. Giving up hope and not expecting any more wins is fine but week in and week out you have to stand by your team. If you are going to root for them to lose, stop coming to this forum. redsk1 11-09-2009, 02:44 PM I get what Bill B is saying here. Yesterday, i was jumping up and down when we cut it to 7 pts. I want to win first but we need a FO restructure-overhaul which leads to a coaching overhaul, which leads to a player overhaul. The only way for DS to do this is if we're just plain bad. We've been mediocre for to long. I will follow the team just as much when we start building the team thru the draft and have some assemblence of a plan. I just need a little hope. Only a god awful team this year might persuade DS to make these changes. Trample the Elderly 11-09-2009, 02:57 PM It doesn't matter if we need it, don't need it, want it, or don't want it. It's going to happen. If it doesn't, it will look like something very similar. If the front office doesn't change and Dan doesn't give up some control, then you might as well look forward to the same thing next year, and the year after that, ad infinitum. CultBrennan59 11-09-2009, 03:39 PM Well what people gave you crap for was saying 'I want us to lose all of our games so we can get a better draft pick,' which I still think is BS. Sure, we probably need to go 2-14 and blow up a lot of things, but to root for that, never. I still do to, in terms of watching us every sunday, and I will continue to do so for the rest of the season, but you need to understand that people want us to lose, to do my two reasons from my last post. The rest of my response to you is pretty much stated to you in posts #34-37. Just look forward to April Paintrain! SBXVII 11-09-2009, 10:52 PM Root for us to loss out...? You go right ahead! As for myself and ALL the REAL fans I know...I'm rooting for a WIN EVERY Sunday! IMO this is a retarded thread. This is the funniest and yet shittiest thing I keep seeing in threads all over the place. No knock on you just tired of hearing how some people are "True Redskins Fans" "Real Fans" and "Corps Skin fan", Like everyone else is not and has no clue what is or how to be a fan. If your looking for the pat on the back you got it. If your looking for the atta boy...you got it. You are better then the rest of us. You guys are more of a fan then the rest of us. For the rest of us I'm just glad we are not the types to simply accept the mediocracy. It's one thing to be a fan and a completely different thing to be a fanatic. It reminds me of the religous zealots who say "I'm a Jesus fan so I'm going to heaven and your not so your going to hell." I guess there is no grey area in fandome. I either believe the team can win every game or I'm not a fan. So, touche to you "Real" fans. Thanks for being there for the team because if it wasn't for you there would be no fans at all. Well except for us mediocre fans talking on message boards. Dirtbag59 11-09-2009, 11:27 PM I agree with this threads thesis. In the meantime I've found peace rooting for the defense, especially our D-Line. The offense is pretty much a lost cause at this point. |
