Where's the Discipline?

Discipline comes with the coaching. Since we have a neutered coach, there is no real force, or power to enforce that discipline. Can't enforce discipline if the men under you don't respect you or know you are heading out the door in 9 weeks. Don't be surprised to see discipline unravel as the season progresses.

I also think that the fact that so few of our project style draft picks have ever panned out comes to coaching. It's no surprise that we've been developing a good defense over the years because it's apparent our better coaches are on that side of the ball.

I started a Landry thread a while ago, and I am just sick of him. http://www.thewarpath.net/redskins-locker-room/31924-laron-landry-grinds-my-gears.html people were giving me crap but now more seem to see what I did.

Acts like an ass, sucks on the field, and still has the audacity to show off after a tackle. F him. He clearly doesn't get it.The late hits and missed tackles would be semi-tolerable if Landry occasionally made a play, but facts indicate that he doesn't make plays. 2 INTs in 40 regular season games is hardly what I had in mind when we passed on Adrian Peterson for this guy. I believe Landry would be much better as a strong safety, but until Blache gives Kareem Moore a chance to get on the field back there, expect Landry to play 20 yards behind the line of scrimmage, and have very little impact.

Wonder if Greg Blanche will respond? Oh that's right, he only speaks to defend Snyder.

Yup. I couldn't have said it any better myself. He's regressing big time. His shitty tackling, piss poor angles of pursuit, and hothead personal fouls are just awful. IMO he's much more of a liability than an asset at this point.

Probably my least favorite player on the team actually. I miss Sean.Sean struggled in 2006 much of the same way that Landry is struggling right now. Of course, though Sean didn't have a great reputation at the time, he was a lot more humble about his failures than Landry is being right now.

Either way, Sean really broke out in the 2007 season, as he proved to be an elite safety in the first half of the season. You can only hope that Landry makes a similar improvement, but right now, you might have to gamble and trade him in the offseason. Because if you hold onto him into next year, and he doesn't break out, you're nowhere. A free safety on a team with a mediocre defense and a piss poor offense has no impact what-so-ever. All the great free safeties in the league are on great teams.

As much as D'Hall is hated here in Atlanta, he must have lost his freakin' mind going over to the Falcons sideline and creating a near brawl. There wouldn't have been a jury anywhere in Georgia that would have convicted Mike Smith, or any other Falcon, for assaulting Hall after that crap. What a douche. Our coaching staff should have benched his ass for his total lack of self control, not to mention some of the other boneheaded transgressions from others against Matt Ryan, etc. Frustration has reached an all-time high on this club and we are losing what little respect we have. I believe I'll be sporting a layer of Kevlar under any 'Skins gear I wear here in Atlanta for the foreseeable future.

And now I would like to present . . . . . Drum Roll Please . . . . . :bdh: this is going to have to do . . . . :smashfrea
Trample the Elderly's Dirtbag of the Game.

This weeks winner is Laron "I've got a B.Jacobs Chip on my shoulder" Landry. Not only is Landry a douche for missing tackles, he is a douche because he strikes a pose when he actually does tackle someone. As if the one tackle he made makes up for the TD he missed. Your not getting on the highlight reel you effing loser!

In second place we have the offensive line. These guys should be washing cars or changing tires somewhere. Named the dirtbags by Joe Bugel, they have certainly lived up to their dirty stank ass name.

Congratulations dirtbags!

The funniest part of the sideline altercation was watching the whole team crowd around D-Hall and then suddenly get pushed back by Haynesworth.

Looked like Haynesworth was bowling the way he knocked the crowd back...

Landry needs to check his ego at the door and get some help. Call up a guy like Ronnie Lott, John Lynch, Ken Houston. Someone who can give him pointers about his attitude, discipline and hope that he can translate it onto the field. He lost his mentor, and it seems like he's still struggling on the field without him.
