I know what it feels like when the board harps on you. Canton Legend, if you are CP, I couldn't care less.

Why they ride Clinton's ass like a govt mule, I don't know? LB and him fumble, but that happens. Rock, well he never sees the ball long enough to fumble. My solution, run Rock!

All of the RBs are around the same age. They'll all need to be replaced soon.

Ummm, no. Not sure what all the fascination with Betts and Rock is but although Betts does not fumble every game he does fumble and he will do it at the most in opportune time. I thank him for his services though. I will give him props that he has been running North/South and gaining yrds even if its one yrd.

Rock, Ummm, no again. I thank him also for his participation no matter how small it is, but utilizing him as a full time RB? I don't see it panning out. He runs more East/West usually. I will give him his props though also. Lately he has run more North/South and has looked good carrying the ball when Betts is blocking for him.

I heard Ganther actually looked good Sat. I didn't see him but I was told he trucked two people carrying the ball. Maybe we should keep him and can the rest in the off season and pick up another RB to be the power back.

It's not that Rock isn't piling up the stats like Betts or Portis, he's a great role player. He gives us a fresh set of legs and changes the pace. It's just a different look that defenses have to account for. No, Rock won't break it for 80 yards but he's a bit of a bruiser and that matters late in the game. Ask Denver's defensive line.

It's not who's better or who's more deserving or any of that. It's about overall production and providing some much needed balance. Whenever Portis is in the game our offense suddenly becomes vanilla and predictable. We just don't seem to be as diverse when Clinton is in the backfield. I don't care how talented you are, nowadays defenses are just too quick to the ball to overcome that.

If Betts/Rock combo can churn out a buck thirty to a buck fifty a game, I'll take that all day long.

Ganther did look good. He ran with authority, blocked well, and also caught a pass. I hope that he sees more of the field. He is a very hungry player and we need more hungry players.

Zorn was on the radio today. He did talk about the Portis diva situation and Zorn admitted that the issue of Portis not practicing is frustrating.

He feels that practice makes a guy better (duhhhh!) But his radio speech made him sound increasingly like a figurehead. He has no authority now that the playcalling is gone from him, and he alluded to the fact that he doesnt make roster decisions either as who to start or what not....i get the hint, especially after hearing the other skins' coaches, that Zorn prefers Betts to start, but has no choice in the matter....

Well, wait a minute. Roster decisions and who starts are two different things. Who is in the starting lineup is still Zorn's decision I would imagine. If he's not making those decisions then who is?

Somewhere else on this board, somebody posted the article that said where the redskins other coaches preferred betts to start.

And to answer your question about who is making the decisions? Who do you think????

My guess is Snyderato

Naw man, they can't be involved in those decisions. Who's starting and who's not? No way. Only a coach can make that call.

Did Zorn say he's not making lineup decisions? I wouldn't believe that unless he said it verbatim.

I dont know guys i just get the feeling that the players run the team. I'm sure Zorn feels that way too.

I mean Campbell was benched for 1 half, but i bet Snyder or someone told him "you had better go with Jason in the next game or it's your job".

Portis is too tight with Snyder to be benched....and that's an accountability issue. Players shouldn't be that close with owners/coaches....it just skews the authority/accountability issue.

Rock is tight with Snyder as well, but you don't see him vaulting CP and Betts to be the starting RB.

Anyhow, Zorn has final say on who's starting. He didn't say anything on his show today to indicate otherwise
