As odd as it might sound, I don't think Zorn's fate is sealed just yet.

I don't see how anyone could think that Zorn will be back for 2010.

There's just no way possible he's still the head coach next year.

At this point I only want a coach that has won a superbowl. No more offensive coordinators, college or QB coaches. The only exception I'll make is Russ Grimm.

Why is that? You only want experienced, proven winners, yet you'll make an exception for someone who's exactly the opposite?

Skins need a GM first, then have him pick a coach.

I was thinking the same thing -- Seifert won because he had Bill Walsh's team still intact. He bombed in Carolina. Seifert is done.

Jim Harbaugh has done a great job at Stanford, and they won't be able (most likely) to keep him more than another year. But he seems to be eyeing a bigger college program

He really likes the college game. That's not to say he won't go to the NFL if the right offer comes along.

Grimm would be the exception because he was a member of the greatest offensive line ever assembled, which happens to be our greatest area of need. Also, it's no coincidence that he's been the o-line/assistant head coach for 2 different teams with superbowl appearances. He's one assistant that is way past due for a head coaching job. He would be a perfect fit in Washington. Where he coaches, the wins follow.

I've got no problem with taking someone who hasn't been head coach, but I don't want another staff brought here without anyone with experiencing calling plays on offense. So if we bring Grimm in as HC, I hope someone like Bratkowski comes along as OC

Unless Harbough is using an NFL style of scheme I would not bring him in. We tried the College approach in Spurrier who was supposed to be the next best thing since sliced bread. His teams put up lots of points on the boards. He comes to the Skins and he fails. Perhaps not given enough time to establish his people for his style of play but clearly his system was easily figured out and defended. He goes back to the college ranks and does pretty good again.

In other words some people were meant to coach college players.

As for Grimm, I do like him and most likely would be good for the O-lineman....but like Smootsmack I have issues with someone who has never called plays before. So if he's actually out in Arizona picking the next play and has an understanding of the offense he wants to run then I would hope he picks up the best OC to back him up. I just don't know if he's worth bringing in. I look at Grimm like I look at Buges. Someone who is good at his position but I don't think he would be a good HC.

Exactly; people will say he's tough and fix the o-line and all.. but you need more than that from an HC

he's been with the Steelers and the Cardinals.. neither one of them have a good o-line

so I guess bugel should get a spot somewhere too?
