HELL NO! This dude won with Tony Dungy team, and after that, look at his record and playoff record.
Yeah the Bucs were how far under the cap and didnt get Gruden any help with the offense? Other than C.Williams i cant name one.
This guy won in Oakland,he can win here. he was a tuck rule away from the SB.
If he can win with Al Davis as owner, he would fit in here just fine. Just hope Bruce Allen comes along with the package.

Coaches who have Super Bowl rings and are "out there" include:
Bill Cowher
Mike Shanahan
Mike Holmgren
Jon Gruden
Dick Vermeil
Brian Billick
Tony Dungy
Bill Parcells
George Seifert
Dungy...absolutely. Gruden, certainly. Maybe even cowher...the rest can sit.

What about Holmgren, he is the most accomplished of the bunch aside from Parcells, who I believe is not available. He would also have most of his coaching staff in place so there would be less of a learning curve for the players.

Is Jack Pardee still alive?
He was average....that would be a huge upgrade and he probably knows a lot about bingo

All 3 would be great J, but without a change in management any acquisition of one of the above three names would almost be a moot point, or a waste of money.

Right now, Gruden would be the man. He is relatively young, energetic, seems like he really wants to get back on the sidelines also. Billick would be my second choice. I like Holmgren, but I don't go for the WCO at all. Not Skins type of ball or NFC East for that matter. Dungy rules, but my bet is he stays put for awhile. He doesn't seem to be itching to get back so soon, like Cowher.

i was watching inside the nfl and the had mike lombardi on talking about coaches and gms and he said some thing interesting. he said that a coach like shanahan would be a nice draw because he is currently getting paid by the broncos so the team that picks him up wouldn't have to pay him as much.
thats not word for word but pretty much what was said, i thought if a new team hired him denver would be off the hook, is this not the case?
