I know we lost to both the Giants and Philly, but I think we absolutely looked like a better team in both those games. and that again goes to coaching. A good coach has a team prepared for every game, but our team absolutely looks like a team without leadership, especially on the offensive side.
Maybe against the Giants, but I thought we looked downright embarrassing on MNF against Philly. It was tough to watch. I'll give credit for the RZ td early on to the offense and Sherm Lewis, but that's about it. We looked like a backyard football team.
This week against Atlanta: we score 24 (two Off. TD, one Def TD, 1 FG.) but White burns Hall all day and Atlanta puts up 38.

sorry for the re-hash, but we offensively our scoring was competitive with Philly, and if we hadn't shot ourself in the foot by turning over the ball on the 4 yard line, maybe it would have been different. Remember, Philly's D is far better than the 0fers that we struggled against, and yet still managed to score in the RZ. Was it championship play, no, but it was a far better output than against the 5 0fers where we literally stunk up the place.
edit: corrected the outscored line

I don't know why some of you even waist the time watching the skins or posting here with all the doom and gloom. I say we are well rested and the team comes together with a big win over AT with a score of 28 skins to 17 At.

One man's doom and gloom is another man's reality.
If saying the Skins are going to win each week makes you feel better feel free.
But deep down do you really think they are going to win every week, especially with how things have gone this year?
Really?

As a fan I feel we can win every week we take the field. I know we will not win every game we play but I always go into a Sunday thinking we can win. I'm that way with everything I do even when the odds are stacked hard against me. Why play or watch the game if you go in with a loss attitude.
I'm usually as optimistic as the come, but I decided weeks ago this season is a lost cause and I'm not going to waste my time hoping for a miracle turnaround.

So after a bye, and for us fans 2 Sundays without Skins football, we start the final 9 regular season games. Certainly not how I imagined coming off the bye would be, nor where the state of the Skins would be. BUT, I saw some positives in the Philly game, solid Redzone calls, effective D as always, and the use of 2 out of three of our 2nd rounders actually contribute.
SO what will we see?
ARE returning fewer punts - maybe he will focus and improve.
Our D has been much closer to actually getting defensive points, and this is the week it happens. That will push us over the 20 point barrier for the first time in however long.
We will find a way NOT to shoot ourselves in the foot on each and every stinkin possession!
DT, MK, and FD all will have significant playing time and we will win this one in an upset, 21-17.
