With so much turmoil surrounding the Redskins, the stage was set for an awkward night of banter at "A Night of Quarterbacks," an event dreamed up and hosted by ESPN 980 Tuesday night in Arlington. Toss in the fact that one of the night's participants (Jurgensen, Sonny) has been consistently critical of another (Campbell, Jason), and it was definitely worth having a tape recorder rolling.

That's cool that they all got together, but I didn't really read anything new, there. Now it would have been really interesting if Sonny had held his tough stance on JC that he previously expressed prior to this meeting.
And Theisman is such a homer, he's not even worth listening to.

Sonny hit it right on the head....."the game dictates how you call the game, not some script that you put together on Tues and Wed"
I listened to some of the event int's on ESPN980. It was cool. I would love to have been there..........sniff, sniff

in all fairness this organization has never really had a true star qb in this history

I caught that too. The conspiracy theorist would say that Sonny mentioned it to Danny, who then told Vinny to do something.
Regardless, scripting plays I thought was typically done for a first possession, or maybe the first few possessions, but not into the 2nd half after the defense has made adjustments & you're already behind. That did make Zorn sound stubborn & idealistic in his game planning.

Baugh, Jurgensen & Theisman were pretty big stars, D. Williams was a big name who won a super bowl. He even replaced a guy (Schroeder) that at one time was looking pretty good, but fell off hard. If by "this history" you mean post Gibbs I, no argument there.
No stars at QB?
