BREAKING NEWS: BROCK LESNAR PLANNING UFC RETIREMENT? | Bleacher Report (http://bleacherreport.com/articles/283839-breaking-news-brock-lesnar-planning-ufc-retirement)

This reminds me all too well of the Tommy Morrison situation in the late 90's. Morrison was out of the ring 11 years before returning after an alleged clean HIV test (Morrison claimed he had a false positive in 1996, and was not re-tested from 1996-2002 allegedly).

Does Brock Really have it? What do you think....

That article is pure speculation. Whoever wrote it didn't even bother backing up the idea that maybe he was HIV positive because of XYZ, they're just like, "Well... maybe's hes HIV positive"

Read the comments on the thread, everyones basically bashing the guy that wrote this for making totally unsubstantiated claims. or as the writer says, "predictions".

I hope he's not HIV Positive. He's a cool guy from what I've seen. But I'm gonna take this entire article with a tablespoon of salt.

As if the prospect of fighting him wasn't scary enough. It could be a hell of a way to get some more time for the fight considering that they weren't granting him an extension after he got the swine flu. However I really hope he doesn't have this. Just the thought of someone else getting it is enough to make me cringe.

It sucks even harder for some people because sometimes you have to wait weeks to get your test results back. I imagine the more accurate test take a few weeks to get back.

Depending on the test used and where it is done, it can take anything from a few minutes, to a few weeks to get the result back. You should ask your doctor at the time of testing how long the results will take. For more specific information about results, see the different test sections above.

Still like DynamiteRave says, this is pure speculation.

My opinion? I didn't analyze his blood, I don't have an opinion.

The last update from the UFC says that Brock is telling people he may not even be able to fight by January.

Swine flu doesn't take 2 months to recover from. Neither does the regular flu, or any kind of training "injury".

He either has something like Hepatitis, HIV, or that respiratory/muscle condition that Dave Meltzer wrote about. Any of the above is an automatic retirement from fighting.

UFC Update; Brock Lesnar has mononucleosis and is out for UFC 108; Machida's metacarpal malfunction (http://www.examiner.com/x-26524-New-Orleans-MMA-Examiner~y2009m11d5-UFC-Update--Brock-Lesnar-has-mononucleosis-and-it-out-for-UFC-108-Machida-Metacarpal-Malfunction)

Update: They have officially confirmed it is Mono. so i suspect Brock will be out 6 months to a year, because of the risk that your spleen takes during the illness....
