1st Half Analysis

Defense

I'll start with the Defense since they have kept the Skins in every game so far. Once again the D is giving the O the chance to win the game. As usual the Defense is stiffling their opponents offense. So far the Bears have around 50 yards total offense in the first half. Granted the Bears O isn't that great, but with all the injuries to the Skins D, I am still very impressed. Keep it up D!!! Hopefully we can get a big play on D to score some points. We might need the extra cushion.

Offense

Ok..the running game is doing great. Portis is finally getting some decent runs and Betts has made 2 key runs for first downs. The passing game is struggling a bit except for the one drive where Brunell hit a wide open Gardner in the endzone. However, Brunell did miss Coles on another wide open throw (granted the wind might have been a factor) but like the commentary said, the throw should have been a lot better.

Special Teams

Nothing really exciting going on there. I have a feeling that Morton is going to break one soon.

Key to Winning the game

The Skins have a very good chance at winning this game if they do the following:

1. The defense has to keep up the intensity. If the defense plays like they did in the first half, a victory is almost guaranteed. Now this guarantee is directly related to number 2.

2. The offense has got to be mistake free. The interception (even though I will say it wasn't Brunells fault) makes 5 touchdowns scored by opposing teams this season due to a turnover. If the Skins O can play mistake free throughout the rest of the game, they should win this game. Come on Brunell...step up and take charge!!!!

Go Skins

Here's mine quick and dirty:

Offense: blows
Defense: rules
Special Teams: blows

Keys:
The offense needs to stop giving up points
I'm done hoping the offense can carry anything, we need the D or ST to score to win
