No I was just posting it so we could see how LT are gotten across the league. I did not realize how many came from later rounds. I was making no statement other than post the research that I did for my own knowledge.

ChickenMonkey 11-01-2009, 10:33 PM Its straight foward, OT & QB need to be drafted early in 2010....best possible solution because there are several QB's and very few OT studs....Draft the best OT avaliable with the 1st pick.....Trade the 1st round 2011 pick to draft QB in the 1st round as well....In the second round there are 2 top tier OG's grab one quickly......

CRedskinsRule 11-01-2009, 10:39 PM For me, I can see taking a 1st qb, especially if, as it looks now, we have a new GM/HC/OC group. Let them pick their poison. Having said that, the new group better also address the OL. We have done both in the past 10 years, Take 2 OT's in the early rounds(Jansen and Samuels) and 2 QBs in the 1st round(Ramsey and Campbell). Neither strategy in and of itself predicts success. The new group needs to effectively address the Skins as a full fledge team. I personally hope for the OT route, but the whole team needs to be evaluated, and re-worked for the Skins going forward.

After doing this exercise, I think it is a good idea to take your QB in the first round.

I don't really think that's necessary. You may argue that we should give up our '11 1st rounder because this coming draft class for QBs looks pretty damn good. But that same fact can be used to argue against trading that '11 1st rounder. If we can move our 2010 high first round pick for multiple picks, we can still get at least one starting caliber tackle and one of the better QB prospects. I'd prefer to add draft picks than ship them away at this point.

the redskins need a new qb, three or four new ol-men, a number 1 receiver, a new tight end (cooleys has unbelievable stats for his marginal talent because jason campbell constantly checks down and doesnt throw the ball to wrs) TWO new running backs, ladell betts is garbage and clinton portis can make one cut and then falls down LOL! u need two new defensive ends because orakpo would be a beast but is running around covering people, i mean jarmon wouldnt be starting on any other nfc east team and everyone loves him just because hes new and young. a new mlb to replace 36 year old london fletcher. a shutdown corner. dangelo hall gets picks and returns them because hes fast but they are usually on tips or some bullshit not because he jumps routes (see asante samuels), and the asshole cant tackle for shit. horton is too stocky and slow to play safety in this league so a new ss... actually make that a new FS and let landry move over to ss.
i think that makes 14 players.
so after that venting... what the skins need to do is draft a LT or QB in the first round this year, and then go best player available every other round.... and then get a LT or +QB next year in the first round and go best available in all the other rounds once again.
