Change your avatar to Jessica Simpson?
Clinton Portis among players who have worn out their welcomejoethiesmanfan 11-03-2009, 10:32 AM Change your avatar to Jessica Simpson? MTK 11-03-2009, 10:34 AM sure whatever Trample the Elderly 11-03-2009, 11:45 AM If the Redskins win the next three games I want your screen names changed to Tony Homo for a week. Any takers? Y'all could be Tony Homo 1, 2, and 3. If they lose one of those games my screen name can be changed to Jason Campbell sux for a week. How about it? Since y'all have so much confidence in the Broncos bwahahahaha, just a new coach that just got figured out (McDaniel and Zorn, same script new episode). Cowboys 22nd rank defense, hell Tampa Bay messed up their defensive stats, according to my Cowboy fan co-worker. The dirty birds????!!! I mean really. Y'all seem to forget these are the Redskins. They lose to teams they should beat, and beat teams they shouldn't beat. Been that way since Napolean met Josephione (aka Vinny). Deal, soon to be Jason Campbell Sux. tryfuhl 11-03-2009, 12:20 PM Actually I can't change my name so we'll have to come up with something else for me, not that we have much to worry about. Skins aren't winning 3 in a row. Even if they had the Browns, Raiders, and Titans up next it wouldn't happen. romo avatar.. and a heart or something CRedskinsRule 11-03-2009, 12:38 PM How about Matty's user title says Fire Hixon :) Eknox 11-03-2009, 01:45 PM I doubt a pick also, but player for player is possible.. Knowing DS we would be the idiots giving away a pick.. Yeah, remember we gave Denver Champ Bailey and a 2nd round pick for Champ Bailey? We should have received a draft pick for that trade. SolidSnake84 11-03-2009, 07:58 PM I'm assuming you meant give the 2nd round pick and Champ Bailey for Portis. In hindsight, i'm sure most regret that trade now...especially given how Portis kind of petered out 3 years later. 2008 he hit the wall and no matter what excuses are made, his play dropped off dramatically. 2009 and i think reality has hit for even the portis fans. I respect Portis. I think his character and overall attitude is questionable at times, but there is no doubt he does the best he can on the field. I partially blame the redskins "pound the rock" philosophy for him getting worn out. Somebody earlier in the year compiled a list of runningbacks and how many carries they have had vs. their production, and Portis was found to be at a high risk of breaking down. That was posted before this season, when the injuries absolutley caught up with him and he looked done. Looking at other backs on that list, Age had nothing to do with it if a RB didn't have as many carries. They had plenty that performed well into their 30's and higher. Earl Campbell comes to mind... With that said, we need to move on from him and his bloated salary after this season. Especially with the prospect of an uncapped year... Monkeydad 11-04-2009, 11:17 AM Fun bit of news on his Yahoo profile: Nov 3 RB Clinton Portis is seventh in the NFC in rushing and has fewer attempts (120) than the six backs ahead of him. I dont have a problem with the Skins pounding him, he's a RB and that's what you do with RBs. What I have the problem with is how much they paid him. You just dont pay RBs that much money because then you are really locked in with them. |
