And I am telling you that Cooley did a serviceable job at least.

Serviceable sucks donkey. It is unacceptable!

who cares?? I mean honestly, the season is a waste, I feel for Cooley because now he is going to have to rehab that but it might be merciful to let him sit out and not have to participate in this horrible team...
Also, giving Davis some more responsibility and game experience might be a good idea because he seems like a solid young building block whom it might be advisable to keep around through the upcoming rebuilding.

I heard him say it in the post-game presser on MASN. Just said he's not sure it's an 'out for the year' type injury. Like you said, could be 8 weeks, just in time for him to be back for the ... playoffs.
Pl playoffs...Don't talk about Playoffs....I just hope we win a game Playoffs!!! you kiddin me Playoffs? YouTube - Jim Mora Playoffs ! ? Long Version

Well at this point it might be a positve... I guess its a good opproutnity to look at Davis... thats not a knock on Cooley, he's def the best player on this offense, but were not going anywhere this year, we mine as well evaluate our young talent.

I agree with that statement Gmac. We are going nowhere and it is time to just let the young talent get on the field.

This will show how much of we took for granted Cooley's blocking. I feel like Davis stepped up and receiving wise it won't be that huge of a loss but at the same time we will sorely miss Cooley blocking wise.

If you want a blocking TE put in Yoder than. Lets use F.Davis strengths which is his pass catching. Not only Davis cant block but half the O-Line cant block. WTF happen to Sellers blocking this year? He is playing soft and i never see his man on the ground.

Zorn says it's not certain he'll be out for the year.

Do you believe anything Zorn says?

I definitely wasn't saying Cooley was an elite blocker, but he did a decent job and had a few bad plays mixed in. Compare that to Davis, who looked almost as bad as Heyer trying to stop Trent Cole. Davis brings almost nothing to the table as a blocker, his value is solely as a pass catcher. It's not good when your second string TE is almost as bad as your starting LT at pass blocking.
