Isn't it a little early or a little late to be bringing in a "Camp Body"?

A little scouting report on Ganther.
Running back Quinton Ganther is a downhill runner who packs substantial power in his 5-foot-9 frame. He is versatile enough to contribute as a featured tailback or a fullback. In his first two years with the Titans, he spent the majority of his time on the team’s practice squad (on active roster Sept. 16-30, 2006 and Oct. 20-Nov. 5, 2007). Then, in 2008, he spent his first full season on the club’s 53-man roster, contributing nine carries for 61 yards and six receptions for 43 yards in 13 games. In pre-draft workouts, he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.56 seconds and bench pressed 430 pounds. He was selected with the Titans’ third pick of the seventh round (compensatory selection, 246th overall) in the 2006 NFL Draft.

Who in the hell is Quinton Ganther?

Ganther was selected in the seventh round of the 2006 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans at pick number 246 overall. He appeared in two games of the Titans in the 2006 NFL season, recording a tackle assist, and spent time on the practice squad.

Levi Jones was unemployed for a reason, he's just a name.

Hopefully this helps O-line depth, but I'm sorry that we haven't seen Alridge on the field during a regular season game. I can't imagine that Jones will be ready for at least a few weeks, so I agree with the earlier post that Jones should have been signed much earlier in the season.

I would have kept Mason or Alridge.

How so?

Alderidge I don't even think touched the field. He wasn't active for any game that I saw.

Mason, our 5th RB, took some snaps and was relatively ineffective. Cerrato got to tell an inspriational story of how he kept Mason after all these years of him trying out but it ends up being for naught.

It just looks like Sherman Lewis is the catalyst for these moves. It's strange that out of nowhere these moves take place after he is announced play caller.

Heyer was horrible on Sunday. I thought he and Vrabel were auditioning for dancing with the stars.
