I'm assuming Zorn won't yank him again if we're getting pummeled by halftime?

Zorn is not calling plays but he does have "veto power".

:pffff:

Sorry man but at 2-4 vs some of the worst teams in the league there hasnt been much benefit to him being on the field either. Not all his fault but he has missed wrs that were in position to make plays. hence the benching

I am not disagreeing with the benching last week, simply saying it's the right move to put him back in as the starter next week.

Didn't want to start a new thread on this, but here you go

CoachSpeak: Brian Billick and NFL coaches talk NFL Football - A Lunch with Benefits video series on FOXSports.com - FOX Sports on MSN (http://msn.foxsports.com/video/shows/coachspeak)

I don't know if it is the shows policy or not, but I have never seen Zorn give an interview without some sort of Skins colors or logo. I am sure I am reading into that. On the q&a's, thought they were very interesting especially when Zorn was talking about losing the playcalling.

I don't know what to say. I'm tired of watching JC play Brunell ball.

Zorn is killing me with the whole "I like calling plays. I have confidence and I am good at it!." Dude, no you're not. I am not saying this was completely handled correctly or that it is all on the play-calling but the only thing he's worse at than play calling is his clock management. He simply doesn't get it.

Agreed. Zorn doesn't understand his play calling limitations.

Imagine how many timeouts we're going to burn as Lewis may call things wrong, Zorn might be like wtf... etc

I hope Lewis can get over that terminology hurdle quickly if he hasn't already

First, all Head Coaches don't call their own plays. They manage the team which is what Zorn is still doing. He's still the HC, just not the HC;OC; QB's Coach; Cheerleader; Janitor; Yoga Instructor; Lifeguard; etc...

Second, Jason isn't young anymore. 5 years in the league, 3 1/2 as a starting QB. You contract is up after this year. You're a vet homie. However, it says alot when we still talk about him like he's in his first year.

Once he starts calling his own protections then we can start tipping suds.

First, I don't think it's the same for a coach to not call the plays than the embarrassment a coach must go through by getting his playcalling rights taken away (we all know it's really because of his inadequacy in this area). The players will probably lose even more respect for the guy (whatever respect he had left) so when I say "neutered" coach it's not just because he doesn't call the plays... Just because he's the HC doesn't give him much respect on this team no matter if he still "manages" this team or not.

Second, I agree I really wasn't thinking "NFL young" I was thinking "27 years old young" and yeah sometimes I forget he's not a "young QB" when I watch him play :(

Jim Zorn you got your money now just call it a day. We and you know that you are finished as the coach of the Redskins. Synder is giving VC 1 last shot at turning the season around before he fires you. Because when you go VC will surely be right behind you. We need JC to play better from here on out because we need stability at the QB position. We dont have time to be looking for the next Franchise QB, we need O-Line help.

While Jason Campbell was named the starter this week, sources confirmed to Jason Reid of the Washington Post that Zorn has told backup Todd Collins to "be ready" on Monday night. This would seem to indicate that Zorn will be more than happy to bench Campbell if the QB struggles early on.

Saw this on ESPN, here we go again.
