If Im wrong correct but, doesn't every new HC bring in his own coaches and assistants to teach the team their way of football. Not this, lets pickup this coach here and there then lets find a HC to run the team. I mean if you hire a Offensive Cord. before a HC, who says they run the same offense or for that matter have the same football philosophy.
I just saying thats whats being done here, with the Dan and Vin Show!
Someone, maybe Vinny I suppose, should have stepped in from the beginning and seen the coaching staff and said hey you've got no play-calling experience at all on offense. You might want to re-think this. The staff has less experience than Steve Spurrier's, which had hardly any. I'll tell you who saw this coming back in April 2008...jsarno, that's who.

Well said. Plus most of the fans here don't have the balls to tell their on boss no. I think its a good idea for Zorn to give up play calling, just look at our offense this season.
If you're qualified professional you should have no problem telling your boss "no" because you should be skilled enough in what you're doing. If your boss doesn't like the way you work then you can find work and pay elsewhere, if you are a skilled enough worker.
...believe me...if you're a skilled worker companies will walk on eggshells around you. If the opposite is true, then you'll have to walk on eggshells around "the boss".
It just goes to show Zorn's ineptitude overall as a professional head coach. This is no fault of his own but Cerrato who brought in someone who could be easily influenced by money and advancement and not someone who is a qualified professional and thus has to walk on eggshells around the boss.
Your boss won't ever fire you for doing your job.

Any coach that comes in here is going to have to deal with a front office that is a nightmare. I would not wish this coaching job on my worst enemy. Things will never improve and we will never return to greatness until something is done in the front office.
Man you really hit the nail on the head. The only thing left is for us to continue saying the same thing until we see that positive change. I think we all recognize what the problem is but we're powerless to do anything about it.

Soo did anyone happen to see Peter King's comments on SNF?
He basically stated that VC DS and Zorn just had a meeting and Zorn has been asked to relinquish his play calling duties (not an ultimatum but a suggestion) in order to concentrate on head coaching duties and coaching the qb.
Do you think Zorn will agree to that? Tony Dungy commented that would be the biggest mistake Zorn can make. What do you guys think?
Zorn doesn't have a choice, with his performance as a head coach how many teams would hire him as anything other than a QB coach. 0

I totally agree. If JZ was really confident in his skills he would have resigned when VC told him they were taking away the playcalling.

Yeah Dungy said that's what led to him loosing his job in Tampa and Zorn should give the front office an ultimatum: either let me coach my way or fire me.
Zorn is in no place to make ultimatums though. He's as good as gone already.

I agree...because he's not qualified with the skills to be a head coach in the NFL. Who's fault is that?
This whole debacle has been a reflection of the severe mismanagement of the team. I'm glad this season took place because now it won't just be the informed fan who can see these glaring problems with our franchise.
Now the national media can highlight the utter ineptitude of our front office and hopefully be a conduit for change.
