If CS does get out while he can still walk and decide to retire. Which would not surprise me, do the SKINS pick up Runyan,Jones or some Tackle that can a least solidify this line for the season....

Or just suffer this one out, and get ready for the draft. I don't see this being very pretty with Big Mike and Heyer, for 11 games as are starting Left/Right Tackles.

What other solid Tackles are out there. And should the SKINS make a move or stand pat in your opinion?

Honestly, I thought they should have picked up Runyan to start at RT during training camp. I'd like to see them pickup Runyan and Pete Kendall. I think they could both start on our line right now.

HAIL!

I mean if were signing guys for 1 year deals... I dont see why not... Unless they think they have something long term in the guys who are here now (Montgomery, Reinhardt, Williams, Williams, Heyer, ect)... cause people would have to be cut. I'd think we would be much better off with guys like Runyan and Kendall this season, but long term I think this thing is getting blown up anyways, so who knows. I'll be rooting for the Skins' to win every single sunday, and hope they win out and win the super bowl... but reality is setting in, and going 4-12 might be the best thing for this franchise long term.

He should hang em up, it's not worth being paralyzed from an injury.

I'll second that! And I'll be there rooting my team on.

But I don't see any harm in a one year deal to anchor this line with Runyan/Jones and I never understood why they didn't bring back Pete after RT went down.

I hope the Buges really doesn't think these guys that are starting this week can get it done against any team. Maybe 32 years in the biz is one to many!

I think Samuels is done, unless the skins hire a coach (and possibly GM) to make Sanuels think he's got a legitimate shot at going to a superbowl. Otherwise, there's no use in him risking his health/life further. I forsee at least 3, and probably 4, new starting offensive line players next year (Dock's the only "lock.")

yeah i was likin the runyan option to before the season began. lots of eagles fans ive talked to said in their opinion he could still contribute for this year.

man, i really hope samuels isnt gone forever. samuels, randy thomas and fletcher are the only real skins that remind me of what skins football used to be.

if he does retire, i hope the pos the DS does him right and honors and thanks him for all that samuels has done and gone through with this team.

go skins!!

go skins!!

The Redskins are the Jacksonville Jaguars of last year. They lost 3 starters and had a horrible season, then drafted 2 starters this year.

For Samuels to end things like this must be heartbreaking for him, but he's got to do what's right for his future.

I say we just ride it out with what we have right now. And then act in the offseason. Short of acquiring a linebacker through free agency, I don't want us to add any defensive players, the focus should be entirely on offense-OL, RB, and possibly QB
