I believe the trade deadline is next week. If Samuels is out long-term, it would be typical Skins biz to try & make a deal for someone. Anyone see any possible trades on the horizon? Or will DS & VC be patient & keep all picks for next year?
Jay Glazer said on sunday that the Raiders were ready for a "fire sale." One thought I had was Robert Gallery. Before everyone calls him a "bust" rememember that he's at least been a starter for most of his career. His salary might be too big, but if he could be had for a 6th rounder, that might be a good deal.
Another name that could come up is Brady Quinn:

Gallery is listed at the third string left guard. he's probably free to a good home.

He's been in an awful situation in Cleveland. He appeared to have the tools coming out of the NCAA and definitely had a great college QB coach in Weis.
We're not going anywhere this season. Now is the time to find out what we have as far as young players go to build around for 2010 & beyond.

I saw that on their pg. Wonder if he's given up in Oak. a la R. Moss? He's not an LT like they drafted him to be, but he can play RT or G probably better than half our o line.

he's probably better than heyer or williams right or at least has experience at the position (recent). I don't know... are we grasping?

How about Alex Boone? Isnt he on the San Frans p squad, sowe can get him by dumping AA or Bastie? He was a really good prospect that made some really dumb desions while drunk.
I was also thinking i wonder if Samuels can be traded for anything?
