I honestly would like to see us pick up an offensive lineman and Joey Galloway. I don't want to hear anything about signing veterans past their prime. I just want us to be somewhat competitive the rest of the season. I know WRs are supposed to take 3 years to develop, but I'm growing impatient and want to see some production NOW.

Sure he might not give us much, but has either Kelly or Thomas? My only concern is him taking reps away from them both, but part of me doesn't care.

I thought Galloway was going to the Ravens. Maybe I heard wrong?

Ah man. I just got back from lunch and just saw he was released and thought it might be a good idea.

Damn Ravens and their quick planning. :(

I could be wrong. Maybe it was just a rumor I overheard.

It doesn't take 3 yrs to develope a WR. Look at the Eagles, Giants, Detroit, and many other. All it takes is an NFL proven WR's coach to teach/develope the ones we have. If I was Zorn, between worrying about my job and planning my future and setting up the next game plan I would fire Hixon and look for any "available" NFL qualified WR coach to see if he can get anything out of the ones we have.

Even though it's secondary to O-line issues and blocking.

I think there's a very good reason to be competitive now, we don't want to end up w/a top 5 draft pick. Maybe bottom of the top 10 is alright, but a top 5 pick is just not worth the risk in $, assuming a cba is signed & there's a cap. Plus, danny might want to draft a qb, which scares me.

More than that i think it takes a good qb to get them the ball. They hardly get an opportunity.

It would help if they got open too.

I personally think Stan Hixon has failed us in so many ways I'm amazed he's actually stuck around.
