SmootSmack 10-14-2009, 12:41 PM well as the season continues and the redskins continue to handout winless teams their first victory. It doesnt look good for the moral of the team. Me personnally, I dont put no blame on the Snyder, he has done everything possible to bring talent and turn this organization into a top contender. We as fans have gotten used to the way he constantly made changes, that we now expect him to be his old quick trigger self. He is finally giving an opportunity to a 1st time coach, following the guidelines that Joe Gibbs said this team needs longevity. And we are ready to jump ship. Call me crazy, but I am impressed by the way Snyder has taken this whole situation.
I don't put no blame on the Snyder either...I put all the blame on the Snyder!
Seriously though, Snyder, in my opinion, is not all at fault. But, while it's very commendable that he'll do anything possible it takes more than that. He's a good owner in that sense that he almost never says no to what he and his coaches want...he'd be great if he sometimes did

We all know Snyder won't do "everything possible." The one thing he won't do is give anyone complete authority, and that is what this team needs.
The truth is, Snyder wants to be GM more than he wants to be the owner. They're two distinct roles, and Snyder can't fulfill either one adequately. I think Snyder cares a lot about the success of this team, but he cares more about himself. He'd rather be the GM of a worthless team, than be the financier of a champion.
It's called accountability. You are right, we don't know Snyder personally. All we can judge him by is what he's done. AKA They will know you through your work. His stink = he stinks.
I will have to agree, when we look at the product he is putting on the field.....it ain't good. Exactly how it got in that shape may be another matter as it happens behind the scenes
Redskin Warrior 10-14-2009, 02:01 PM If Zorn loses to KC he is gone after the game IMO, but Snyder could keep Zorn until years end use him as the reason we had a losing season. I registered over at ES and i couldn't take the lack of common sense, how people think we are a one player away from a championship trust me they will believe him too.
TheMalcolmConnection 10-14-2009, 02:15 PM I think he's damaged goods, bad knees if I recall correctly.
Maybe so, but no possible way it's worse than we have now.

If that's the case bring back Kendall.

I know this is the wrong forum for this but if SOMEHOW it was a Gruden/Allen pairing with Dan stroking the checks like he is now, that could be very promising. They were consistently competitive with a team that was often $10-$20 million under the cap.

I'm with you on that too. I don't care, bad knees or not, I just want to watch some competitive games this season.
CRedskinsRule 10-14-2009, 04:10 PM I couldn't disagree with you more about Dan Snyder. He is at the root of all of the Redskins' problems. His insistence on being involved in personnel matters through a puppet GM and his hiring of a man who is not qualified to be an NFL Head Coach to lead the team are the primary reasons we are in this mess.
I am sure I am all alone at this point, and I don't really mean to be rude, but it seems like all DCPSR brings to this forum is anti-snyder crud. Certainly it is easy enough to bash this team in its current state, and you guys make good use of this forum to excel at that. But can you back up any of your statements. Cerrato as much as people hate him, served his dues and deserved a shot as much as any other possible GM, the fact that he has messed up on the Oline shows it wasn't a great hire, but saying he is DS' puppet is just fueling stupid speculation. And I know alot of fans who now are done with Zorn, including myself, supported the outside of the box hire, and hoped it would be the start of a new tradition. Again, it wasn't it failed, and I imagine after a two year trial, both Cerrato and Zorn will be let go.
I am not defending where we are, but just riding the crest of frustration to endlessly attack the owner seems petty.
JLee9718 10-14-2009, 05:52 PM I just hate the fact that we don't seem to have a chance this year when we play the Cowboys, the Iggles, and the one game remaining with the Giants. I hate those teams and thought we would be dominating them by now. Dream on!
