Sources: Gruden the front runner

Maybe Joe Gibbs can bring respectablity back to the Skins for the duration of the year.
Heck...who thought we'd be respected again after Danny's clowns with Spurriers gators.
All it took was a half a season without Gibbs to have everything start to collapse again.

I really think a lot of you have underestimated how well Gibbs did under the circumstances....to me....if the best Gibbs could do is win a playoff game...thats as good as is possible under the current management.

The only person that could do as well or better would be Parcells...and he aint going anywhere....and to be honest...I don't like him.
I am pretty worried about the next 3-4 years unless something major is changed...and I am not just talking about a new coach

My personal Gruden source tells me he wouldn't want to keep JC at QB. Wherever he coaches he wants to bring his own QB. But who really knows

Haha probably. When we used that timeout on 1st down in the second half I threw a huge couch pillow at my television and cussed like a sailor. My fiancee was just looking at me like I'm a crazy man. She gets it though. Next to the safety on CP, that was the most pathetic play of the game IMO.

We've got a lot of problems that Jon Gruden can't fix right away (offensive line talent mainly) . But he's still an upgrade over Zorn. Like Gibbs, the team absolutely will not quit on Gruden. The team's already showing signs of fracture under Zorn, it's not a good sign.

That said, things can change quickly in the NFL. The 'Skins were 0-5 under Marty and looked horrendous until they suddenly got good and finished 8-3.

I don't see that happening here because our talent problems run deep, but still. I can't give up hope yet.

Is it me or does Gruden have a big ol smile on his face tonight on MNF? He seems almost giddy...Id place a bet that he's already cashed a Snyder check and Zorn has all his crap in a cardboard box! Now that I think of it...I believe that Snyder is trying to turn this into his own reality series..that'll really piss off Jerry Jones..something like the Deadliest catch show, Dan could title his show "Deadliest Coaching Mistakes". It could be part game show and part reality series...and Danny Boy could dress up like Chuck Barris. He could mount a big Gong on the fifty yard line and the fans could run up and bang the gong when its time for the coaching staff to carry their asses! Brilliant!! You want to talk about selling some merchandise..ole Vinny would have to open up a sweat shop just to keep up with jersey sales...oh by the way I hope that the two of them are watching tonights game on MNF, so they can see what real football looks like. I do... Steve Czban (sp) put it perfectly into words today on his radio show. Ill summarize.

Vinny is the only "GM" willing to be Snyder's proxy, Snyder could never relinquish control of the team to any true GM that knows the game. Using Vinny gives the appearance that Danny boy isn't calling the shots. Vinny is obviously a horrible football guy, has no clue how to pick the players or coaches, and he knows this so in order to keep a job, he just lets Snyder pull his strings. Lets face it, Snyder would probably rather sell the team than let someone else have control over football operations.

Thats probably the main reason Marty was one and done...Snyder couldn't handle not having his hands in the cookie jar. And ironically enough that was the one year I thought the Skins were headed in the right direction.

If Vinny goes, what other GM is going to come hear and let Snyder have final say? What coach is going to come hear that isn't allowed to pick their assistants? This franchise is doomed until Snyder puts his ego aside and lets someone who knows what they are doing call the shots.
