ESPN 980 reports that Williams will start at right guard in place of Chad Rinehart when the Redskins take on Carolina today. So it's another positive step for Williams, whose weight was well north of 400 pounds as recently as February. Skinny Tee 10-11-2009, 12:19 PM Another reason why we should draft a O-lineman next year Another reason we SHOULD HAVE drafted O-lineman the last two years. SBXVII 10-11-2009, 12:19 PM Just my personal feelings....I wonder if they saw something Chad was doing or not doing even though we had a full week of how well he performed and shined on the O-line. We even heard how they were able to run to the right most of the Tampa game. Now this. I presume the putting MW in the Guard position is to get him a little regular season game play where he really can't screw up a whole lot then maybe next week move him to RT. For whatever reason I thought I kept hearing how Heyer was having difficulty at RT still. Maybe they will move Heyer to Guard after moving MW to RT. Just a thought. Since this is a surprise move do you think that our other surprise move (Sherman Smith) was responsible for this change? Perhaps this is what the second set of eyes saw. Redskin Warrior 10-11-2009, 12:28 PM Questions we run to the left mostly so doesn't the RG pull to the left? Is Williams going to be successful as a pulling guard? Did he practice this week with first team offense as a RG? 53Fan 10-11-2009, 12:29 PM If this is true, I would really, really like to know WHY? |
