It won't suddenly turn this team into a contender but in all honesty they should be already. Remember when Joe Bugel was brought in as a consultant for the O-Line when Spurrier was here ? There was a unbiased opinion on what the problem may be. Some things were tweaked and the problem was found. On this team NO ONE knows what the problem is. The players don't know. The coaches don't know. Someone has to find out why this team that does in fact have talent is stuck in this rut. The owner isn't on the field, and the Gm isn't on the field. This team is too good to look so bad on Sundays. The offense has been a problem for the past 4 years. WHY ? Can't be Jason right ? So who is it. He's gettign good protection from his line. The receivers apparent;y cannot run routes for passes that don't make it to them. There is always an 8th man in the box. Why isn't there any respect given to the passing game ? Maybe Sherman can give a little insight.

Ask Patrick Ramsey if the problem was found...
Ramsey thought they only played games in December because he was always getting lit up like a Christmas Tree.
It doesn't take an expensive Super Bowl winning consultant to tell you what's wrong with this team. I could tell Snyder what the problem is for free...and I'm no professional consultant.
Many of the problems that affect this squad are really noticeable if you are a fan of competitive football and the NFL as a whole.

I can tell him what the problem is too. The thing is he tried telling us over the summer. It's the QB. Yes there can be upgrades in other places but that is the most important one. When he felt that JC was not the guy for this team everyone that bashed Campbell last season all of a sudden loved him. His play hasn't taken that leap that you look for by this time in a players career. He is the one guy that needs to strp up. We talk about him like he is a 2nd year guy in the preseason. He's been a starting QB for 4 1/2 years now and he still needs to make improvements. Seriously ? Danny was right and no one is going to say that he was. He may throw for 200+ but is there ever a time that he is in command ? He plays like he's a part of the team when he is the most important part of it.
The Lewis hiring is a last ditch effort to save what is left of this season.
Oh yeah, I am a fan of competitive football that's why I can't enjoy watching JC's quarterback play.

Well I was watching ESPN last Sunday before the Redskins vs Buccaneers game and there was a piece on the Redskins problems. Tom Jackson take on owner Dan Synder was this. " Its like he has a leak in the roof of his house and but he keeps fixing the basement" Synder is a good owner and his players like playing for him. He pays his players well and he is 1st class when dealing with his players ( Sean Taylor) but he needs to let football people run the football side.

Everyone sees the problem except Snyder, IMO he is not a good owner if he continues to not hire a GM to run all football operations and keep himself out of all football decisions.

I know i will take some serious flack for this, but i dont think the problem is really vinny.
His picks are no more successful than casserly's were. I think he is just our whipping boy because we cant beat the piss out of snyder himself.
In truth, we should be blaming the coach, and the players. They are unmotivated and often clueless, it isnt vinny's job to inspire, to show some heart and pride out on that field every sunday...to play like a true redskin.
It isnt cerrato or snyder who decide the play calls or the execution.
on paper our team is a good team or has been throughout most the years (except spurrier era) Thats vinnys job, to get the coaches the best players for their schemes on paper. to get the pieces to put it together.
Oyr problem is that nobody on this team remembers that winning in dc is more to its fans that just a good sunday. It used to be a way of life. Back in the 80s when dc was trash...the crack and murder capital of the world, people who can barely scrape by and live, still took pride in their redskins, it was all that got and gets them through a week in the fall sometimes....somehwere along the way we have lost that...and thats sad we have just become a bunch of critical overpaid bitches on the field

Snyder and Vinny do have a role in the product you're currently seeing on the field. They are responsible for the current staff we have in place and their lack of gameday experience. They both thought they could go with our current coaching arrangement despite it's obvious shortcomings.
The lack of foresight into that decision is a part of what is a major problem for us right now. Our team is suffering the backlash of our coaches lack of experience and management is acknowledging the lack of experience by having a Super Bowl consultant come in and assess things.
Being that Zorn was brought in by Snyderatto you can place blame on the part of managment for Zorn's lack of experience.

Maybe Blatche isn't physically well. I hope he's okay because I liked listening to him, too. Zorn was great to listen to for the first year, but I keep thinking maybe he should comb his hair. He's a great guy but in over his hair...I mean head...as HC. Or maybe Vinny turned over a bad team to him (intentionally, I would think).
