redskins5044 10-10-2009, 09:56 PM I agree with you on the game last week. To me the team is Bi-Polar we are either moving the ball or loosing the ball. Now JC had his worst game of his career turnover wise last week and we still won. Now ATL AND the Saints I know the team we were all expecting to be here right now will show up. I sit here and watch the games we've played and i see this team bursting at the seams to be the team we want. Those red zone plays have really killed us, but progress is being made in my eyes, and yes i have had them checked and cleared 20/20 here. Our D is coming together our offense is still in search to find them selves I see us running the ball a hell of alot tomorrow. I feel good about the team even with all the stuff thats gone on this week Trust me you'll see.
you are very positive person when it comes to the skins. but with what i seen the last 3 games i cant see them coming out and playing a complete game.
DynamiteRave 10-10-2009, 10:03 PM But then there are those with a hint of optimism who are labeled "kool-aid drinking non-realists"
There's a difference in that though too. Optimism is one thing, but you know you're drinking kool-aid when you're thinking the Skins are going to put up 30+ a game when we haven't done that in something like 20+ games I think it was I heard? I could be wrong.
Optimism is fine, but blind faith is dangerous and then people wanna say that because people are pointing out flaws in the team and saying okay we're facing XYZ team this week, and here are the reasons I don't think we'll win, they get accused of being a hater and they must not be true fans and they must want the Skins to lose.
I mean, come on. Really?
warpaint 10-10-2009, 10:05 PM That's the spirit warpaint! Don't worry about Tee, he'll end up in a self-imposed ban before the season's over. :)
Thanks for the backing just for that im going to crack open my first beer tonight in honor of you a skins fan, and who knows later tonight im add a little something to the drunk thread.:food-smil

Your not wrong.
The last time this dreadful offense put up 30+, Mr. Joe Jackson Gibbs was still the Captain of the ship and we were heading to the playoffs.
And guess who the QB was...? Good guess Todd Collins! NOT SOUP.
We beat The Viks in Vik country 32-21, Week 16, Dec. 20/2007, with Todd Collins at the helm, thats the last time this team has posted over 30 points in any given game.
Coach Gibbs steps down after the Seattle loss in the playoffs.
Zorn is given the HC gig for the SKINS (Huge mistake a QB coach to O- Cordinator, oh change of heart I mean HC), then shortly after he marries SOUP, the marriage is now falling apart. They both suck, and will be out of DC shortly (Zorn before SOUP, but SOUP will follow!).
Now whos drinking kool aid...? Oh yea the Redskins, they are improving, getinng better and real close. To what I'm not quite so sure.

Back attcha bro. I hope tomorrow the optimism is shown to be well-founded. :woot:
htownskinfan 10-10-2009, 11:19 PM I was going to start a new thread with this, but i'll just post it here
According to this article,we have the 3rd toughest schedule remaining, with carolina being first.Lucky for them they play us tommorrow which helps their odds, because i cant see us winning. If we finish over 500 I'll be surprised

skins89moss 10-11-2009, 05:46 AM What do I expect in Week 5 vs the Panthers: Well after watching the last 4 games I see the offense struggling to run the ball and score points. I see our defense getting gashed by DeAngelo Williams which will set up the play action for Jake Delhomme to Steve Smith. Our offense starts out slow and we thus fall behind and our defense can not be as effective. I would love to see our defense play with a lead more often but it doesn't happen due to our lack of production from the offense. Our special teams never scores on returns or block punts. However we did score on a fake FG. This week will tell if our Redskins truly have a heart because no football experts think they can beat the Panthers. Only the Redskins players can change the National perception of them, which most people think they are awful. As being a long time fan for over 30years I just can't seem to quit on them. I just hope the players and coaches don't quit and come out fighting every Sunday as though it was their last. HTTR ( Skins4Ever)
doughtydoubter 10-11-2009, 09:27 AM i expect to see the pitchforks, torches, and lynch mob marching down my street at days end calling for zornys head...oh yeah and a bunch of drunk fantasy coaches stumbling out of the bar next to my house who blame it all on cerrato
Skinny Tee 10-12-2009, 03:57 AM I know it is like shooting fish in a barrel but the blind hopefuls really have no place pronogsticating here. I told a blind hopeful (Warpaint) that I would re-post his dream sequence prediction after the game and he'd either look like he was informed or completely clueless. I think we all know how this one turns out.
I'm actually disappointed because he promised me a win and I trusted him...he even said in bold to TRUST him...the guy betrayed my fan trust.
Everything that has happened with this week with the arguing and the hiring has probably made this team a little on edge, ready to put a stop to all this talk of washington sucks and the boo birds chirpping. We have great match ups all around so with that.
I predict redskins victory score I cant tell u but as long as we win and I do beleave in a way we have all been longing for an all out asskicking.
Anything is possible, so is the underdogs with a the better record winning the game. Has everyone gave up on this team. The third qtr. last week just shows what type of team is about to show up this week and the year for that matter and quit all the naysayers.

These posts don't vaporize after you post them.
I'll re-quote what you said after tomorrow's game. You'll either look like you know what you're talking about or look completely clueless.
We'll see in 16 hours...I'm counting on you...don't let me down.
Dude just put me out there like that, but l'll will take u up on your challenge of my competence.
