Based on the Skins performace so far, everything that has gone on at Redskins Park this week, and Caronlina needing a win, I wouldn't be suprised if Skins get blown out on Sunday.
What do you expect in our Week 5, Skins vs. Panthers matchupZorny 10-09-2009, 10:04 PM Based on the Skins performace so far, everything that has gone on at Redskins Park this week, and Caronlina needing a win, I wouldn't be suprised if Skins get blown out on Sunday. GusFrerotte 10-09-2009, 10:29 PM I do NOT expect the Redskins to win this game. The Panthers have been very, very bad this year, but coming off of a bye, they will probably play at a level closer to last year's team than what they have looked like in the past three weeks. But I think if the Redskins can win, they'll have taken a step towards being a playoff team. I estimate that the Redskins have a 35% chance of victory, but if they win, and especially if they do it in convincing fashion, they will be in good position. From what I've seen, they probably will not win. I hope I'm wrong. Very hard at this point to say we are playoff caliber, even if we win in Carolina GTripp. You have to say at best we will finish 3rd in our division. WE can beat the Cowboys, but not the Gmen or the Eagles. The Saints will smoke us, and ATL will win in the dome. Sand Diego is a toss up. KC and Oakland should be easy wins. IF things hold steady it will be: New York taking the East New Orleans taking the South Arizona taking the West Minnesota taking the North Eagles wildcard Bears, Packers, or ATL the other wildcard Sure a lot of stuff can happen between now and January, but unless we are helped by divine intervention, we won't make the playoffs in '09. DynamiteRave 10-09-2009, 10:46 PM Skins 24 Panthers 13 Yeah, I'm one of the few here who actually root for my team to win. Rooting blindly and rooting as a realist are two totally different things. I'm sure Lions fans root for their team to win week after week but know that they probably won't. I don't get why people who see flaws in their team are somehow less of a fan than people who are blind homers. Maybe it's just me, but I see there's an obvious line growing and there shouldn't be. Good one Dynamite. Too many folks call other fans haters if they don't see a win coming our way on Sunday or don't like an aspect of how the team is playing. A fan should stay hopeful/positive for sure, but there are times when you know you are porbably going to bite the dust. My brother in law is a die hard Lions fan, always will root for them even if he thinks they will lose. I hope the Skins beat Carolina and somehow turn it around, but recent history has shattered those hopes time and time again. Just can't see us making the playoffs playing as poorly as we are now. The Goat 10-09-2009, 11:02 PM I hope the Redskins give me a win as a birthday present on Sunday :) It's a b-day wknd for me too buddy! I don't expect much from the game but it will be nice to just sit back and relax. Niners take the West w/o a doubt. I'm rooting for NO to win it all this year...I hope those dudes stay healthy! GusFrerotte 10-09-2009, 11:13 PM Oh shit, I had a major brain cramp!!!!!!! Yeah Goat 49ers all the way in the West. GMScud 10-09-2009, 11:51 PM I expect that after this week's game, we'll change our logo to this (can we make this an avatar? It is matty's favorite "doh" face afterall): http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s274/gmscud/Redskins_New_Logo.jpg GMScud 10-10-2009, 12:00 AM Rooting blindly and rooting as a realist are two totally different things. One of the best things I ever read on this site was Daseal's signature: "Apparently not having unrelenting optimism means you're not a fan." I will root for the Redskins always, but I'm not expecting diddly poo at this point. The way I see it, with the Redskins, expectations are premeditated resentments. warpaint 10-10-2009, 12:19 AM jake delhomme throws the ball wild which should be good for our secondary to come together and get some picks. They are desperate for a win but think we are push overs and easy victory. Everything that has happened with this week with the arguing and the hiring has probably made this team a little on edge, ready to put a stop to all this talk of washington sucks and the boo birds chirpping. We have great match ups all around so with that. I predict redskins victory score I cant tell u but as long as we win and I do beleave in a way we have all been longing for an all out asskicking. |
