What happened? Did he figure out they're a pretty good team?

amazing, I am glad for Crabtree that something shook loose and he got a clue. It would have been a shame all the way around if he had lost this year completely.

Risky move on part of team ? He may be talented , but only wants to be a part of the team .... after they start to win games ??I have never like SF , I hope they lose 5 straight !

Well, he basically lost this year though.. Although it's only 5th week, but he still has to get in playing conditions and learn the playbook.. He will be playing catching up for a while..

I hope the 49'ers ddn't pay the same offer they had on the table earlier. Given the history of holdouts and there long term effect on rookies, I wouldn't expect Crabtree to have any significant impact this or next year. Not something you pay 20M for.

True enough, but if he had sat out the complete year, he would not be doing any of that. I wasn't saying he would come in and play, only that he will be with the team, getting up to NFL speed, and not waste a year out of football completely.

This will prove to be a better option than the one he had origionally sought. Will be difficult for him to get up to spped this season though. Good for him.
