I think the problem with Landry is that he wants to be in the highlight reels, this guy has his own agenda, like not showing to OTA's. During the off season I would trade him and use that pick on Taylor Mays who could be the next Sean Taylor.

See that's the problem everyone wants to be the "next" Sean Taylor. Why not be the first "LaRon Landry?"

Dude don't we need to worry about drafting O-Lineman next draft. Laron is the least of our worrys right now.

If you trade Landry you would still have our 2010 draft pick and the another 1st rounder for Landry which I would use to get Mays. Landry to me is a disappointment and other one of those "me first" type players.

Ppl want Mays but it seems that each USC game i watch that he is a liability in pass coverage. kindof like who we have now so why waste a pick for what we already have? He is a hard hitter but so is landry when he is on time, which is rare here lately.

Agreed. I don't see the need to add another safety to our roster (Landry or no Landry)...but if we must, I'll take Eric Berry over Taylor Mays

I'm not giving up on LaRon Landry. He looks like he is trying to be on Sportscenter. He goes for the big hit too often. He is not Sean Taylor and should not be compared to Taylor. He is a solid safety and needs to make solid plays and get away from trying to make the highlight hit.

Whether a guy is drafted in the first round or not at all shouldn't matter. What's important is the production on the field. I think too much pressure is placed on players because of where they are drafted or how much money they make. If the player makes a solid contribution, it doesn't matter how he was acquired.

How can he be a playmaker being 30 yards away from the play. Do other teams do this. It's like he's ready to make a punt return back there.

Excellent point. I've never liked that alignment. I also hate seeing our cornerbacks and linebackers playing 10 yards off the ball on 3rd and short. Very passive.

Blache has called him the "angel" because he's deep & protects the cb's in coverage. Think about it, since he's been playing FS how many deep passes have been given up? A few, but by and large he takes away the deep threat. A lot of what he does will go unoticed.

I do agree that his tackling sucks. Just make the tackle, don't try & get the highlight hit.

You'll give up more big plays, but we need to cut down on the opponents completions. If that means the other teams offense can sneak a speed guy over the top of Landry every third game, and a perfect throw yields a TD, so be it.

That's what the man said. Either Landry didn't hear him or Blache hasn't put him in a position to do so.
