I voted other.
I give it to Tampa for being so bad even we could beat them.
LOL. Good one.

GMScud 10-04-2009, 09:32 PM I went with CP for grinding it out with that hopeless o-line and playing calling of ours. Ditto. tdSKINS1 10-04-2009, 09:32 PM D for sure. Moss and Cooley stepped up nicely Trample the Elderly 10-04-2009, 09:36 PM Reed Doughty! 12thMan 10-04-2009, 09:37 PM I can't believe all the animosity towards Campbell now. One 3 pick game his entire career and now that's the standard to judge him by? And those picks can be attributed to him trying to make plays. Poor judgement yes, but how many of us were screaming (I know I was) for the offense to open up and start putting fear into defenses? People are also forgetting that he also threw 2 huge touchdowns that ultimately put up the points that won the game for us. I mean yes obviously people are concerned (as am I) that when we start playing legit teams (aka not the Bucs) that the type of game we had today will make us lose, but people also forget that there is time to learn from mistakes and as his 1 career 3 pick game shows, this is more of an anomaly than a regular occurence. I completely agree. Jay Cutler throws a three pick game, it's an anomoly. He'll bounce back. Brett Favre throws a three pick game and he's a gunslinger, courageous, a winner. Tony Romo throws for three picks in a win, he's "gutsy". You know, he has all the intangibles to be great. Jason Campbell throws his first three pick of his career, he should be benched, and displays bad judgement. Yeah right. I suspect that Jason won the respect and admiration, not that he didn't already have it, of his teammates after today's performance. On a somewhat related note, it was great to see the guys on the sideline getting stirred up. I saw Portis on a couple of occasions getting fired up. 53Fan 10-04-2009, 09:38 PM Campbell hung in there, overcame his mistakes, and we pulled out a W. I think that is huge and he'll get better because of it. With 3 sacks, an INT and FF recovery, (Good play Jarmon!), I gave it to the "D". Lotus 10-04-2009, 09:46 PM Doughty and McIntosh were balling. The only touchdown surrendered by the d was a gimme from our offense. The defense ruled. MTK 10-04-2009, 10:10 PM Our Defense played great, but lets not get too comfy.........TB didnt even get 90 total yards the entire game last week. P.S. - I can't believe that Campbell was even an option for the gameball. Like I've said in previous threads, we need a qb thats a leader, not one who is responsible for 4 turnovers, almost 5 if his INT didnt get completely dropped, and had to have his defense bail him out for a 3 point win over arguably the worst overall team in the league by many opinions. I like the guy, but hopefully these outings will wake redskin nation up to the fact that a new signal caller is needed, at least if we want to get to the Superbowl any time this century. If Zorn IS able to squeak out his HC'ing stint for one additional year, lets hope he wakes up as well, instead of his usual bullshit excuses for Campbell. You can only "show progress" for so long until people start wanting their quarterback to show some fucking results. This is the NFL, not the pee wee leagues. I dont see where the loyalty for this sub par qb comes from, but it needs to go the hell away. And for all of redskin nation that disagrees, thats great! Be a Fan!!! But if you really believe that JC is a qb that can lead this team to the next level......well.....you need your head checked. Mediocrity can only be covered up with excuses and hope for so long.......... He did throw 2 pretty big TD passes, no? Guess I must have imagined that. Keep on hatin'. Paintrain 10-04-2009, 10:10 PM Hall's pick was big, but let's not overstate it. The quarterback f'ed up and the corner did what he was supposed to. Rogers should have caught the ball, but assuming it was going to be six relies on Tampa Bay just giving up and not chasing him. Lol, why am I not surprised at you not giving Hall his due credit and taking up for hands of stone? It's all good tonight though man, it's a victory Sunday night. You just knew the haters were waiting for a game like this. It's laughable at this point really. The guy plays a bad half and people think that's proof he needs to be benched, as if one bad half gets guys benched in this league all the time. |
