Where do you see it improving there?
Do you see our who knows if they'll be on the squad backup linemen improving next year? Young who knew if they were gonna make the roster or not secondary?
Still a lot of question marksWell a lot depends on how we address the quarterback position. But the receivers will develop and 2010 Portis should be a lot like 2009 Portis. If the offensive line gels, this could be a pretty good offense, depending on who the quarterback is.

Campbell was manhandled in the pocket the first drive of the game. When he can set in the pocket and throw downfield, there aren't many QB's that are more accurate. I'd love to see Campbell playing behind the Raven's OL. Flacco is rarely hit, and he's not nearly as mobile as Campbell.
JC had time today, I watched him on every play, he can't stay there all day, he is not reading the D and gets lost after he drops off the first read and then scrambles to find the dump off. Why do we do this every week, he turned it over 4 times.
So true, but we need some major damage control here. The only shining spot so far this year is JC and 3 INTS isn't going to get it done come divisional play. Guys need to step it up when our studs have an off day.
Naturally I meant that satirically but I agree with you. We will need many more things to happen to be any good. Starting with qb play

It's really sad that this is what we're pretty satisfied with though.
So do you rather have a loss? Jax just killed Tennessee; a team that was penciled in to be in the playoffs just got killed by a team that was left for dead. I think in today's NFL, very few are the teams that you can say they are going to blow someone out of the water. We're not one of those teams, so just deal with it.

I can see that, but it's still pretty conditional. Say we have a rookie QB though.. who knows? Like you said a lot rides on that.
The receivers should develop and I'm seeing signs of it, but who knows wit Clinton. We're finally giving our line a chance to develop though instead of trying to fill every fallen gap, which is what we need to do. Not a lot of the best lines started with the best evaluated linemen no doubt.
If I said things like that the mods would be on my ass. But they just dont like me because I got kicked off the ES board last year for saying that Rock is expendable. Go figure. This year everyone on there is saying the same thing I ws saying when I got kicked off. Liek this board much better anyway. Far more intelligent convo. If you going to mod -- be fair. Thanks

I think the reason JC is forcing the ball so much is because he's feeling all that pressure that we the fans/coaching staff are putting on him and he wants to prove himself by taking risky/stupid decisions. He just needs to settle down and learn to take what the d gives him and not worry about the rest.
Also I just wanted to say watching the end of this Bears/Lions game I think it's sad that Chicago is blowing out Detroit 48-24 and Detroit is playing like shit again, and that last week was a prime example of just how far we are from being a good team. I don't want to just be satisfied with eking out wins against mediocre opponents, even though today was a small step in the right direction. We have a long way to go to even consider being competitive against the truly elite teams in the NFL.

Well he needs to look at more than 2 potential receivers lol

Did anyone see what happened to Jared Gaither?
