Olympics are lame IMO
Just not much to them as far as entertainment goes. I never really got into them.

I was surprised that Chicago finished last out of the cities. Of course I wanted the Olympics in the USA, but I had to chuckle at DrudgeReport's headline with regard to the Obama's failure to sway the Olympic Committee-
"The Ego Has Landed." Ha.

Yeah, Drudge is having a field day. I was indifferent one way or another. Of course the media wants to make it a win or lose proposition for Obama. The coverage of it all has been sort of silly. I'm glad it's over.

Agreed. I think South America deserved it simply because they have never hosted an Olympics, but I don't really care that much about where it's hosted, as long as the USA wins lots of gold medals.
I personally think it was a mistake for Obama to fly over there and put in his two cents. Given how ridiculously negative and partisan politics are (especially lately), he probably should have just left this one alone. Although in a few days no one will care anyway.

YAY! Glad that's over! Now we can get back to the real issues.
Do you think that Zorn will try a trick play this week? Maybe a run to the right?

Exactly, come Tuesday no one will give a damn. You know at first I thought it was a mistake for him to go over too. But he spent all of four hours on the ground, had a meeting with Mccrystal (sp) on Air Force One on the way over, and had he not gone and we still lost the bid they would have blamed the president for being unpatriotic and not caring about the Olympics. So he was damned if he did and damned if he didn't.

Well I think Obama opened that up by going there in the first place. It was nice to see he took a break from all the Sunday talk shows, and Letterman to spend a whopping 25 minutes with our Commander of US forces in Afghanistan.
