That's it. mauiRedskinbarn 09-30-2009, 12:26 AM We still have to play Dallas twice, the Eagles Twice and the G-men at home. If we beat Dallas both times, take one from philly and beat the Giants at home this season would be far from over. I always said it's not how you start the year its how you finish. If we finish strong and beat some tough teams zorn might be safe GMScud 09-30-2009, 01:00 AM I think we need to see a major turnaround on both sides of the ball for both Zorn and Blache to have a chance to stay. If I had my way, Blache would be gone right now. It's remarkable how little his scheme is producing despite the horses he has. Zorn has been hamstrung by Vinny's inability to build an Oline worth a shit. Don't get me wrong, I'm not exactly happy with the Z man, but if he has a solid o-line, our offensive problems wouldn't be as bad as they are now. I'd say at a bare minimum Zorn needs a trip to the playoffs to stick around, but Blache and Vinny need to have some serious accountability on this one as well. I'd like to dump Blache for Jerry Gray right meow. SBXVII 09-30-2009, 01:02 AM I say winning season and Zorn stays. I agree I guess but I can't help thinking if Zorn pulls out a 9-7 season he's gone. It would take a major turn around and maybe a blow out or two to be convincing which I just don't see with this team. I guess a play off run even if it's first round would probably satisfy DS and still enable him to go on national tv and gloat about having been the one who selected Zorn. SBXVII 09-30-2009, 01:08 AM We still have to play Dallas twice, the Eagles Twice and the G-men at home. If we beat Dallas both times, take one from philly and beat the Giants at home this season would be far from over. I always said it's not how you start the year its how you finish. If we finish strong and beat some tough teams zorn might be safe I guess we could get lucky. I would have said beating the Eagles twice and Dallas once and taking the Giants game. Dallas does not look as bad as I thought they would and although the Eagles have not either they lost their starting QB for a few weeks. ;) Then again the team seems to play better with out McNoodle. DynamiteRave 09-30-2009, 01:13 AM If we make it into a Wildcard spot and then lose.. Does Zorn still get fired? SBXVII 09-30-2009, 01:47 AM If we make it into a Wildcard spot and then lose.. Does Zorn still get fired? Thats a good question....I leaning toward no, but if we look good at the end of the season and make a push into the playoffs as a Wildcard then most likely yes. Paintrain 09-30-2009, 02:20 AM He's got to turn the offense around. Even if we win 9 games but are only averaging 16 or so PPG I think Snyder demands a new playcaller and offensive coordinator which Zorn may resist and result in him getting fired. |
