I'm an optimist and have not given up on the season, we will bounce back and if that's the case then why fire Zorn?
What If...We Win?SFREDSKIN 09-29-2009, 11:39 PM I'm an optimist and have not given up on the season, we will bounce back and if that's the case then why fire Zorn? hooskins 09-29-2009, 11:41 PM What if we suck the next couple games, Zorn gets to stick out this season, and the last stretch we go like 5-1. Campbell looks great as does Z man and the offense? I think it gets tough then. All vibes will be different, as we would be winning in the meat of our schedule. Obviously this would be extremely hard, but we are playing the what if game right? SmootSmack 09-29-2009, 11:42 PM I think he needs to win at least one playoff game Skinny Tee 09-29-2009, 11:44 PM I know we've all pretty much written off the season and are ready to start talking about whether we'll be introducing Cowher or Shanahan in 2010...but what if things start to click? What if suddenly we start winning games? What then? Do we give Zorn another year? I guess basically my question is what keeps Zorn here in 2010 I'd say it be based on how far we went in the playoffs. Also we could start clicking on defense and none of that would really attributed to Zorn. I'd say he'd say that these past two games are going to resonate at the end of the season even if we have a playoff win. Short of a Super Bowl, Snyder will probably listen to the fans again and fire Zorn at season's end. DynamiteRave 09-29-2009, 11:44 PM Playoffs or bust. MTK 09-29-2009, 11:46 PM I'd say it be based on how far we went in the playoffs. Also we could start clicking on defense and none of that would really attributed to Zorn. Short of a Super Bowl, Snyder will probably listen to the fans again and fire Zorn at season's end. These first 3 games aren't gonna mean jack if the team is 10-6 at the end of the season and in the playoffs. It will be distant memory. Please. Jamaican'Skin 09-29-2009, 11:47 PM 2nd round playoffs keeps Zorn here. Anything less, and Danny blows up the ship I think he needs to win at least one playoff game You guys are both brilliant and most likely correct SouperMeister 09-29-2009, 11:51 PM If the offense starts hitting on all cylinders, I say you have to keep Zorn even if he finishes only 8-8. Blache should be on the hot seat even more than Zorn given the defensive additions (Haynesworth and Orakpo) that have yet to yield results. Swarley 09-29-2009, 11:52 PM I think just making it to the playoffs and he might stick around, a playoff win and he goes nowhere for sure. Slingin Sammy 33 09-29-2009, 11:54 PM Just got done with the review and will be posting soon. Unless Zorn fires Blache or Blache drastically alters his scheme (which he won't) we won't start winning. But if Zorn fires Blache, and we show improvement on both sides of the ball and finish the season strong, even if we don't make the playoffs Zorn should stay. |
